The church is the people not the building. The Greek word for church is ekklesia. It means the "assembly of the called." So, da church is da people not da building.

I know what and who The Church is... The Church is The Body of Believers who are of The Christian Faith and accept Jesus The Christ as Head. And Lord and Master.
Those of The True Church have come to God in The Way He proscribes and received God's free gift of Salvation.

The church resembles the faithful who congregate supposedly to worship God. Unfortunately, most short-sighted people think that the church is a literal interpretation of God, and thus expect it to attain a level of perfection- i.e. they think that the congregants are supposed to act 100% good no wrong, nuthin.
Of course these short-sighted people bash God for the failings of the church, which is in fact a "human" institution.
None of us are perfect on this earth, only The Lord.

the church is just another controlling mechanism affiliated with the government and business.it's a dark, foreboding, evil den that operates on the platform of fear, guilt and secrecy.now my idea of a church is sitting under the shade of a tree with friends talking about the world, god and love...and you wouldn't be asked to make a donation!" The Church" is also a very cool Australian rock band.

The Church is the communion of believers united in the Gospel, under the kingship of Jesus Christ. It is universal, holy and apostolic.

The church isn't a person or place or thing. Its what ever gets your kicking. Maybe your kids, your job, your hobby, and or whatever you love to do or be.
