u can believe there is no God. just because u cant see Him, u deny Him. what about air? we cant see it, yet it exists! if u deny Jesus and die, ure screwed for eternity . youve denied your only chance to Heaven (salvation through Jesus alone--not good works). you've denied your Creator, and yet you believe tabloids left and right. you've been sucked into the cesspool of lies Satan conceived. you've believed whatever you want. God has clearly shown how to get to Heaven, and people are just too stupid to get it throught their hard heads. you can deny, laugh, doubt, whatever. however, the good ol saying goes "reap what you sow!" if you fall into that broad category of going to hell, i suggest you turn to Romans. more specifically: Romans 5:1, 6; Romans 8:2; Romans 10:9-10, Romans 11:6. your eternal fate is probably hanging in the balance as you are reading this. many born-agains aren't men and women to stand up to Satan, but I am a man, and I will fight for what I KNOW is right!

You go for it, they may also want to read Revelaton 21:8 and 20:11-15 then they will know exactly where they stand in Gods eyes, the White Throne Judgement isn't going to be a picnic and anyone that thinks is will is only fooling themself.

Air can be broken down into a variety of elements such as oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. THEY ARE MEASURABLE.

How do you measure God or heaven or being "screwed for eternity?" Has anyone come back to tell you about these things?

Maybe we are in hell NOW. There is enough suffering in the world to qualify as "hell." Maybe we want so badly to keep part of us alive, that we THINK there is a heaven or better place.

The concept of dying and the lights just going out, is too difficult for most people to accept.

Who told you the bible has all the truth? The bible? That's like a chicken calling itself a chicken!

There is no proof for your beliefs, but if they help you through troubled times, go for it. PLEASE, however, don't force them on the rest of us!!!

I'm unconvinced.

Since I have no faith, how do I know which book that tells me I'm going to hell if I don't believe in it is the correct book? The Qu'ran? The Bhagavad Gita? The Book of Mormon? Or the New Testament?

I'm not being facetious, I'm totally serious. All these books (except maybe the Gita) threaten me with hellfire unless I convert. I pray, and God doesn't speak to me. I read the books, nothing happens, I feel nothing. All the books have wisdom, but so do other books, not necessarily just the religious texts. All have internal inconsistencies, all contain statements with which I disagree, all produce adherents some of whom commit atrocities in their names, some of whom learn to bring out the best of humanity in themselves and others.

It's a closed circle, requiring a leap of faith. But how do you choose to believe? It seems to me it can't be arbitrary. Something must speak to you, but I hear nothing.

So I guess I'm just stupid and have a hard head. But, I'm consoled by the thought that if you're the sort of person I'm liable to meet in heaven, I think I'm better off giving it a pass.

I refuse to follow any God who would let most people who have ever lived burn in hell forever for doing something temporary. I have too much love for people to accept that, and I'd rather burn with them than watch from my comfy place in heaven.

That's the first reason that I'm not a Christian anymore. The second is that, after studying the Bible for three years straight, I had to admit that it isn't the Word of God I thought it was.

God is love, not the Old Testament dictator and mass murderer.

First, evolution and revealed religion are incompatable. As science has evolved, we have learned that man is not the center of the universe. That said, the bible is irrelevant in the search for a truth. Believe whatever you wish if you find comfort in it. But don't expect others who are educated, and intelligent to believe in something so ridiculous, and to think that fairytales exist.

So I should repent because of fear of going to Hell? Nah I think I would rather be tortured and burned for eternity then spend a micro second with your impotent lord. Sorry I must have too much pride to bow before a being lower than myself.

We may not be able to see air, but we can scientifically prove it is there. Most people, in my opinion, say they believe in God because they're afraid of what "might" happen when they die and He really does exist. I can't see air, but I'm confident in my belief that it exists - it's sad that most religious people don't have the same strength of conviction and only believe out of fear.

Well, if you reap what you sow, God is going to spend eternity blowing a LOT of hot air in your face...

I resent being called stupid.... I thought that was not allowed here and if you want to preach find another forum.

You are no better then the few Muslims who are radical, you're just a radical Christian. Same evil just a different package and you're just a scary.

The jokes on you. It turns out god hates faith and plans to spend eternity instead with skeptics he can argue with. You're brimstone fodder buddy.
