Where in the Bible does it say that being gay/bi is a sin? I mean what chapter or whatever(I don't know what each section is called so I called em chapters)

And something to add to it. People say it's a sin to be homosexual, but don't they also say that God loves you no matter what? God loves and treats people equally, so why is it a "sin" to be homosexual?

I think it's stupid how Christians say that you will go to hell if you're a homosexual. I'm a Christian and I am all for gay rights.

Ya I know I haven't exactly read the Bible, but I am going to soon. I know that going against God and being for something he considers sin is wrong, but I just do. I can't just say "I hate gay people because I'm a christian" because that isn't true, I'm perfectly fine with people that are gay/bi. I may even be bi myself, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to stay a christian if I am. But another question to add on: is it possible to be bi, but not act upon those feelings toward the same sex and still not be sinful?

Like I said before, I think I am but I don't want to act on these feelings towards another girl. It's not like I can't go without it, I've never even done anything with a person of the same sex, and probly never will. By having feelings for people of the same gender of me, but not acting upon them make me sinful?

In the book of Romans Chapter 1 verse 24 through 27 (1:24-27)
Romans 1:24-27 wherefore God also gave
them up to uncleanless through the lusts
of their own hearts, to dishounor their own
bodies between bodies:
25 Who changed the truth of God onto a
lie, and worshipped and served the creature
more than the Creator, who is blessed forever.
Amen'.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto
vile affections: for even their women did change
the natural useinto that whichis against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the
natural use of the woman, burned in their lust
one toward another; men with men, working
that which is unseemly, and receiving in
themselves that recompence of their error
which was ment.

Lev. 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind,
as with womankind: it is an abomination

Okay I like the fact that you are seeking truth. Part of the problem is this--when you don't have any knowledge of the Bible and just take bits and pieces you can make it fit whatever you want...but when you look at it as a whole you will be able to see things more clearly. If reading scriptures that condemns homosexuality doesn't convince you that it is either right or wrong then you need more Bible study. God loves all people but that doesn't mean that he loves what they do. We don't need to hate the person just the sin there is a difference. God also hates when heterosexuals just live together without the benefit of marriage but no one seems to talk about that anymore.

As far as God is concerned homosexuals and
heterosexuals living or just sleeping together without the benefit of marriage are considered the same to God-- to be committing fornication which God condemns --again not the people but the lifestyle.

And as far as you stating that
"I may even be bi myself" is interesting --my personal feeling is that some people may be born gay, others may have had tragic upbringings that led them that way, but that doesn't mean that they have to act on those feelings anymore than if someone feels like cheating on his wife--he really feels the need to--but does that make it okay or should he put those feelings aside to do the right thing.

The Bible verses have already been listed, so I will address your questions in the Additional Details section. God does love everyone, but there is a big difference between God loving a person, and God hating what that person does. He loves the sinner, but hates the sin.

Christians should also love the person, but hate the sin. To say that you are FOR something that God is against is a foolish thing to do.

People don't go to Hell because they have committed the sin of homosexuality or any other sin, they go to Hell because they have not trusted in Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, and have not accepted His sacrifice on the cross that paid for their sin debt.

The Lord does love everyone no matter what, but that love does not dismiss anyone from the wages of sin...which is death. Romans 6:23. That's why He sent His Son Jesus, that He might pay the price for our sins so we wouldn't have to if we accept His gift of salvation and turn from our sin.

The bible does not say anything about the Lord treating everyone equally. It does say that "God shows no partiality, but in every nation whoever fears (or reverences) Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him." Acts 10:34

I just wonder how well you know the Lord if you choose to stand for something He labels sin. Those who call themselves by the name of the Lord need to hold fast to the principles and teachings of the Word of God. Standing against sin isn't stupid...it's godly and it's being faithful to the Lord. His people are called to holiness and to be set apart from the world. It might serve you well to read through the bible and get an idea of who it is you are trying to serve.

It doesn't actually say that anywhere in the Bible. That's just how people have chosen to interpret some of the judgments sent down by God in the Old Testament, which is supposedly changed up by the death Jesus Christ in the New Testament. If you're serious about your question, there are lots of books on the subject, and lots of churches today who do not "condemn the gay man/woman to hell" for being who they were born. Try St. Paul's United Methodist Church or M.C.C. both of which are accepting of "unconventional lifestyles"

There are SUPPOSED books in which Homosexuality is mentioned as sinful, but one must also understand the nature of understanding of homosexuals in the times when these books were written as well as the fact that the word "Homosexual" wasn't even invented until 1800 by a German Psychologist.

That will give you the bible passages. Honestly, you should read the passages for yourself. I myself cannot understand how people get that homosexuality is a sin from them. There are all sorts of translations from Hebrew and Latin, so the translations are often skewed to translate something altogether different than the original meaning.
