after all these years. he looks very, very dead.

Although in Islam it's not allowed to have the Prophet (PBUH) drawn or portrayed, it is allowed to describe him (there are a lot of books that offer his description). He had dark brown hair down his ears/shoulders. Dark kind eyes. He was of medium/tall height. Very kind and loving smile. A beard. That's all I can remember for now!
A lot of Muslims see the Prophet in his dream. It is said in the Quran that if a person sees the Prophet in a dream, it is truly him and what he looks like because the devil can't imitate the Prophet in dreams. It's a real honor to see him in a dream :) People who have seen him have described him just like I did :)

The Prophet alayhi salaata was salaam was of medium height, with hair between wavy and curly, a thick beard to his chest, and hair to his ears sometimes lower, it was said his face was as beautiful as the full moon, his skin was fair for an arab, thats all i can think of off the cuff.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not allow artists to paint is potrait because he know that people will start worshiping him like God.
