it contains this
(..... But me they cannot touch. And you,O Peter, shall stand in their midst. Do not be afraid because opf your cowardice. Their minds shall be closed, for the invisible one has opposed them."
When he said those things, I saw him seemingly being seized by them. And I said "What do I see, O Lord, that it is you yourself whom they take, and that you are grasping me? Or who is this one, glad and laughingon the tree? And is it another one whose feet and hands they are striking?"
The Savior said to me, "He whom you saw on the tree, glad and laughing, this is the living Jesus. But thisone into whose hands and feet they drive the nails is his fleshly part, which is the substitute being put toshame, the one who came into being in his likeness...)

1) You can't see the wind, but we know it to be real.

2) You can't see gravity, but we know it to be real.

3) Charles Darwin was a racist, so evolution can't be real, so Genesis must be the correct story of creation.

See I am just a seeker of truth, trying to find out if God is real. I reject all three of these agruements. I am wondering if these ever worked. Has anyone here said by gosh you are right about any of these three, and then invited God into your heart?

In Genesis of the Bible God creates Adam And Eve, but it says nothing about them looking like apes and transforming into humans. The bible says that man was created in the image God, so if evolution is true, does that mean that God looked like an ape?

All stances against same-sex marriage seem to originate from different religious views. If there is an amendment that bans the church from state than why does the government take it upon themselves to determine whether or not same sex marriage should be legalized?
The church isn't allowed to make an appearance in public places, therefore why should the government be allowed to make appearances in issues that originate from religious stand points?
Also, marriage as itself has become over-rated, at first the union of two individuals was meant to be a spiritual commitment to one another and not a legal commitment to one another.
Any thoughts?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." -
I Corinthians 15:55-57

Once upon a time, twin boys were conceived. Weeks passed and the twins developed. As their awareness gew, they laughed for joy: "Isn't it great that we were conceived? Isn't it great to be alive?"

Together the twins explored their world. When they found their mother's cord that gave them life, they sang for joy! "How great is our mother's love, that she shares her own life with us!"

As weeks stretched into months, the twins noticed how much each was changing. "What does it mean?" asked one.

"It means our stay in this world is drawing to an end." said the other.

"But I don't want to go," said one. "I want to stay here always."

"We have no choice," said the other. "But maybe there is life after birth."

"But how can there be?" responded one. "we will shed our life cord and how is life possible without it? Besides, we ahve seen evidence that others were here before us, and none of them has returned to tell us there is life after birth. No, this is the end. Maybe there is no mother at all."

"But there has to be," protested the other. "How else did we get here? How do we remain alive?"

"Have you ever seen our mother?" said one. "Maybe she only lives in our minds. Maybe we made her up because the idea made us feel good."

So, the last days inthe womb were filled with deep questioning and fear. Finally, the moment of birth arrived.

When the twins had passed from their world, they opened their eyes and cried for joy - for what they saw exceeded their fondest dreams. That is death as experienced by Christians.

Take a look around and read the responses to serious questions....why is it that they have 76 DIFFERENT answers for one question? Is this so they always have an answer at hand...or is it because almost none of them reallu understand what their particular religion is about?

I am not a christian, but since I've started answering questions here, I've noticed a PURE HATE for Christianity from many of the people on Yahoo! Answers. I understand that we all have differences in opinion, and that some christians are extremely radical, but can't we all just get along? I get so tired of hearing these people preach tolerance and in the same breath talk about how evil Christianity is. You can't have it both ways. Furthermore, some of you may respond with something "christians hate us!". The truth is, Christianity is harmless. Have you not noticed that these conservatives that you probably hate so much haven't achieved this "christian theocracy" that some of you are so worried about? Its because politicians are playing games with both red and blue states. They feed the holy rollers crap and they eat it up and vote for them. Noone is going to do anything in washington, period. So, there's not really any reason to hate christianity because its powerless, I promise you.

Did you know that Catholics really do read the Bible? In fact,

Did you know that the New Testament was written, copied and collected by Catholic Christians?

How about that the official canon of books in the Bible were determined by the Catholic Church in the 4th Century?

Did you know that Martin Luther said "We are obliged to yield many things to the Papists (Catholics) that they possess the word of God which we received from them, otherwise we should have known nothin at all about it."

Did you know that while the Catholic Church didn't write the Old Testament it did use it's authority to determine which books should be in the bible and to assure us that everything in the Bible is inspired?

One last question. Did you know that if your Bible contains Wisdom, Sirach, Judith, Baruch, Tobit and 1& 2 Maccabees you're using the same Old Testament that Jesus and the New Testament writers used?

Not trying to be funny, seriously, a lot of people think Jesus is God, and I'm only asking, did those who think Jesus is God talk to Jesus or a burning bush, or did someone else tell you about Jesus, like a parent or a friend.

I'm a bit lost on this one. I believe the KJV Bible and everything in it. Though I sin, and sometimes go against what is in the bible, that does not mean I don't believe the Bible/God's word and that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. With that being said, where in the Bible does it mention the Pope or Purgatory? It is just me or does the Catholic church need to reread the Bible?
