Honestly I haven't attended a church in a while. However, I would love to find a church home. To answer your question though, Church leaders are people just like the rest of us. If you have ever told a lie or a half-truth then you can be SURE they have. Sometimes even priests, pastors, and other church leaders haven't figured everything out in the Bible. In fact no person other than Jesus Christ (according to my beliefs) has figured everything out perfectly. The thing you have to remember is that you are required to find out by reading the Bible. You can't really stop there though. You have to know the Bible too. When you pray you speak to God and when you study the bible and meditate on it then God will speak to you. So no... church leaders will not always tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about God and the Bible. Usually it's because they don't know any better or they just messed up like you and I do. You could pray for the church leaders. Pray for discernment also. God will let you know when something just isn't right. God Bless You.

Church leaders, pastors - no. Who told them the truth about God and the Bible. I've been in too many churches where everything turns to **** because the guy on the stage, or behind the pulpit, thinks that the congregation will 'die without his leadership'. So the power he has over people goes to his head - and right there he loses the plot, you cannot communicated the truth about anything if your intention is self-serving. I don't think so, no. Man cannot divulge truth about God - only God can. So if anyone is looking for God's truth, go to God - man don't know squat.

I Believe you should read your Bible and find the truth on your own you preacher can not get you into Heaven but you can sure follow one to Hell i am not saying that your preacher is going to hell but there will be many there we need to follow God not men. in the Bible it Says in the last days men will say he's in the desert (Christ) the bible says do not go for he is not there.
He's in the mountains. Do not go for he is not there there are many wolf's in sheep's clothing pray for discernment so you can tell the difference between the truth and a twisted lie.
If you do not feel the Holy Spirit present i would go else were. Beware of the synagogues of Satan.

Yes, but not because they tell me it's the truth. I've looked into it. I've researched plenty, and come to the conclusion that Jesus did exist and was the Son of God. I've also looked into the Bible, and come to the conclusion that even though minor details and sentance structure may have changed, the basic message is still accurate to what was originally written.
For example, with the New Testement alone, there are 5,300 Greek manuscripts, 10,000 Latin Vulgate, as well as 9,300 other mis. texts and papyri along with early uncial manuscripts that all agree with each other.
To top it off all those manuscripts agree that Jesus claimed to be the Son of God. So, he either was the Son of God or a complete fraud, mad man, and liar. There is no middle ground, like saying He was just a great prophet. He either was the son of God or a liar, so accept it or not, but don't patronize him by saying he was just a prophet. As for myself, having looked into it, I believe he is the Son of God.

I actually go to a church where the pastor researches before speaking. She checks the Greek and Hebrew then will "unpack" each part. If there is something I am not sure about, I check several translations before making my mind up. Theologically, I have never found anything that she has said to be unsound. I believe that I am being told the truth.

I dont think there is some big conspiracy theory going on but I do think that logic and truth tends to be put aside for the nicey nicey sermons.
However, is it their responsibility to educate us on the bible and God? Wasn't one of the great things Jesus accomplished was to allow us to come to the father without a priest anymore? Didn't John in his epistle state that we do not need anyone to teach us. Prayer and reading the Word is how a person should learn the truth.

I think they are telling the truth as the see it. Theology is a bit complex although the main message is usually the same depending on the denomonation. Unfortunitely there are some church leadings who manipulate the word of God to control their congragation

i believe allot of them are telling you what they were taught. But i also believe that allot make interpretations to suit their own convictions. I believe that the bible is a bias view of the life of jesus. And i believe that allot is left out. I used to be a follower in n the church, until i got to the point where i asked too many questions that they weren't prepared to answer. be careful not to question religion too much, you'll get yurself in trouble.

I believe that most are telling us what they believe to be the truth. No one knows for sure exactly what the original writings said. Church leaders are teaching by faith and belief alone, which is good enough, as long as it gets the message across.

I beleive they are teaching what others in the church have taught them and the pope or elders may be leaving out a few things they dont want you to know. like will evey one go to hell if they dont believe in God or follow evey single detail the bible says and more stories about christ.
