That's a bit of a generalization. We're bombarded with images and scenarios of lust in the media, but many cultures (mostly more rural and non-mainstream, admittedly!) still believe in the sanctity of love, even among the youth!

What's your basis of comparison? Every generation has experienced lust. Lust is simply natures way of making sure we breed.

I would say that it has always been like that. You just may be able to see it more today. Without Gods love, how can you love another? God is love. And He is the same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
It is very easy for someone to say the words, I love you.
People do it everyday to satisfy their lust.
But it is an entirely different, I love you, when they truly mean it and it comes from their heart.
God Bless

Love and lust have always been intertwined. It's nothing new. The only thing new is a willingness to admit it.

actually, lust was first.
then it turned into romantic crap, as some leaders
invented the control of the public oppinion, free speach and such.
So everything lustfull was censored and scribes found a way aorund it put it in some romantic harmless words.
But it always meant LUST.
now we won back the free speach, so you see porn everywhere.

Love has always been desire for ones highest value. Why values change is due to real circumstances. And one of those circumstances is: we are devolving back into animals, due to the vilification of human flourishing. Namely the philosophy of Christianity, which is the cancer upon mankind. What kind of man should we be? According to them, we should be spineless jello people, who can't think or act for ourselves.

It's the music, LOL, and the parents who don't pay enough attention to their children, and the social norms that society accepts these days.

love with no physical component is as shallow, selfish, and insincere as love with no respect for the person.

if you love someone you love all of them, and everything about them.

if you refuse a lover your body you are thinking only of yourself.
