Did you know that Catholics really do read the Bible? In fact,

Did you know that the New Testament was written, copied and collected by Catholic Christians?

How about that the official canon of books in the Bible were determined by the Catholic Church in the 4th Century?

Did you know that Martin Luther said "We are obliged to yield many things to the Papists (Catholics) that they possess the word of God which we received from them, otherwise we should have known nothin at all about it."

Did you know that while the Catholic Church didn't write the Old Testament it did use it's authority to determine which books should be in the bible and to assure us that everything in the Bible is inspired?

One last question. Did you know that if your Bible contains Wisdom, Sirach, Judith, Baruch, Tobit and 1& 2 Maccabees you're using the same Old Testament that Jesus and the New Testament writers used?

Yes, I did. Thank you, swordsman, for setting the record straight. It amazes me that so many Christians don't even consider us Christians. We, too, are born again through Baptism, and we, too, can have a personal relationship with Jesus. I do. Thanks again! You did it so much better than I could have!

Yes, the Catholics do read the Bible. I find it quite hilarious when people say "Well Catholics don't read the Bible, only priests can". Where do people get these silly ideas? Ever Martin Luther, a man who did not agree with the Catholic faith, could acknowledge the importance of the Catholic faith in assuring the life of Christianity. My Bible contains Wisdom, Sirach, Judith, Baruch, Tobit and 1& 2 Maccabees and I'm glad to be using the same Old Testament that Jesus and the New Testament writers used.

Catholics were the first christians until folks like Martin Luther spoke out about the widespread problems in the church (the Catholic church does not have a clean history)

So yes, the New Testament is the work of early Catholics. Catholics built christianity, and until Protestant sects broke off, they were the only group of believers in Christ. The word Protestant comes from the fact that the folks who broke from the Catholic Church and the Papal organization were protesting some of the rules the church had put together.

Did you know that the bible clearly states that any thing man made is not pure. so my question to you is what about the bible isn't right? But I would like to add that I believe in God as much as I believe I m a live. He lives inside of me. I do not hope that I'll go to heaven I know for a fact that's were I'll be when I die yet I do not believe in church or the bible because I know God mad us all different and the bible wont's us all to be the same. So in short I embrace the way God made me for he is my truth and my life is my proof not the bible or the church!!!! Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a blessed day!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have an inferiority complex in regard to the Protestant faith? If so, you shouldn't. Martin Luther was a philosopher more than anything. The idea that you can get to heaven through faith alone and not through faith AND works is so preposterous and ridiculous it is hard to believe anybody is Lutheran today. Especially after Luther sided with the aristocracy in Germany during the German peasant revolutions. No wonder the Germans became so slavishly obedient towards authority.

I believe that the Catholic Church is presently going through a purging and a cleansing. I hope and I pray that it will arise again as the world's strongest purveyor of Christianity. The Catholic Church is not without its faults and definitely needs a renewal. But Protestants, you are far from perfect. Who mercilessly wiped out the Native Americans?

The Catholic church was invented by Roman Emperor Constantine in 325 CE (ad). Constantine's council invented the doctrine of the Trinity (Jesus is God) and went about forging documents to support that claim.

And, for over 1,000 years, proceeded to execute anyone who denied the Trinity.

Why would anyone worship a priest or pope as God?

Then why Catholics believe in purgatory, when the Bible "they compiled, does not discuss this at all?
Exodus 20:4 states not to make graven images in heaven or on earth, but yet it is littered with statues and idols of Mary?
Why do they endorse going to confessionals with priests when, in 1 John, does it say that God forgives of you sins, not priests?
Baby baptism?
Mary without sin?
Penance?
prayers to saints?
None of these can be confirmed in the Bible, but yet, they practice this, against what is claimed they helped write?!?!
Ask yourself why the books in your question is not included in KJV, or the Catholic Bible.
