Humans invent Gods in their own images. And, then invent whatever doctrine suits their needs for the moment.

Hey Cheese! Waz up? We hearing a lot from you this morning.
There are shades of every color but each color still holds the essential color with in that shade (i.e. light green and dark green are both are green). What you've observed is true. There are many shades of christianity. But, it's also true about any and every other religion as well. Look at all of the sects of Judaism and Islam. There are even different variations of atheism.
It does seem like you get your button pushed rather easily with people who are zealous for their religion. You seem to pick on christians alot more than other religions. Are their issues there, Cheese? (cool name by the way).
There is within the subject of love the concept of the heart. Not everything that someone says can completely or always effectively convey what they really mean. But, see if you can listen to the heart of what people are trying to say to you (unfortunately many of them are screwed up and have a lot of twisted hatred and other issues). But, as imperfect and confusing as it may be at times, know that most people do what they do because they want to love and be loved. Even you, Cheese.
Love, joy and peace.

Christianity is the best religion to believe in. It's the only religion that has a basis that has stood the test of time, and actually has something to base their beliefs in. Like atheists for example, have nothing to base their moral principles on, except maybe how other men live, and all men are born into sin, so that wouldn't make much sense. So the Bible is there to tell us how we should live, and I don't believe the Bible has any contradictions, maybe the person who said that should maybe study more before making false accusations.

Well, there are often many answers to a question. Some people may see it from different points of view. Just because a group of people are Christians doesn't mean that they will necessarily have the exact same opinion as another. Also, for example, some people may agree on the general idea, but they may disagree on the specifics.

Maybe even though to the outsider they come under the umbrella term ' christian' what each individual believes is slightly different. Maybe you should find out what Christianity is all about for yourself.
The same can be said for any other thing by the way. People have different views on food; dress; where to live who they like but they are still all people. Hurray!! the power of choice!!!

how many times do I have to say this? CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION!!! IT'S A FAITH!! BIG DIFFERENCE!! there are different answers because they come from different people. DUH! We are not contradicting ourselves. All the answers tie in to each other. You just aren't paying attention. You're so focused on trying to find a reason to ask another ignorant question that all you can see are the things you WANT to see. If you ask me, it's you atheists that are contradicting yourselves. You claim to not care about the christian faith or any religion, but all you can seem to do is constantly ask questions about all of it. Why don't you go find something better to do with your time.

I disagree along with your declare that maximum Xtians do not crack the Bible. at the same time as i replaced right into a Bible-thumper, I examine the e book always. yet not the completed ingredient. It replaced into very selective analyzing. We were given a large number of ingredient about particular passages contained in the Bible. maximum different passages, even if, were merely forgotten. as a count number of actuality, the Bible is riddled with extra contradictions than not. it really is an enticing number of files, even if it really is been so hopelessly translated and mistranslated and doctored and politicized that it really is not achieveable to get any type of sparkling image of what the unique writers meant. not in straightforward words can we not have the unique texts of the Bible, yet we do not actually have copies of the copies of the copies of the copies of the copies of the copies of the originals. one ingredient i stumble on truly exciting is that the King James version of the Bible, so regularly touted as being THE Bible of selection for most fundies, is an somewhat erroneous translation, in conserving with very defective fabric. yet fundamentalist Christians received't see any of this. All they are going to say is 'it really is the note of God.' And that looks to guard any difficulty that arises once you locate merely what number contradictions and easy old incorrect information is in it.

Because they base their entire lives on a big book full of contradictions. The Bible can't possibly be true if it can be interpreted a million different ways. If the Bible really was the word of an all good god, there would be no Christian denominations, just Christians.

Christians are humans and as such, not perfect by a long shot! When I get confused by all the input of others, the media, civilization, I try to remember the 10 Commandments and keep them as the basis for how I live- even then, I fail and fall but I keep on trying!

Two reasons:
1) There are different denominations, sects and pseudo-Christian cults, all of whom hold varying beliefs based upon their own interpretations of the Bible;
2) Everyone has his or her own level of knowledge and understanding. In this culture, people are encouraged to have their own opinions about everything. Sadly, there are many who hold a religious opinion, but cannot accurately explain or defend it because of poor "discipleship" -- i.e. a failure to learn. Such folks are well-intentioned, but no one is perfect; every now and then, we all get things wrong.

I would concur with the latter part of your question.
:)
Hypnotq_eyes_04, it's true, I care little for organised religion. What I DO care about, however, is hypocrisy and deceit, both prevalent within most religions, christianity being one of the worst offenders.
