How do I get people to be more into my enthusiasm?

At work- I try to encourage my colleagues to do stuff with me (such as Birthdays, Boss's Day, Charitable contributions etc.) but not everyone seems to want to participate. I know its the workplace and all...and I can't change all of them nor please everyone...but I want to have fun at work and I want for them to participate.
I don't want to nor should I have to go out and buy stuff for them to encourage even more for I have already done that- it just does not seem enough.
How can I get all of my colleagues to participate?

I went to a service station last week for fill up my gas tank. I got $30.00 worth of gas, had to prepay on my credit card, so when I actually filled up I only needed $27.41 worth of gas to fill my tank. I went inside to get my change, and the clerk SCREAMED at me in front of ther customers:

Cash rules everything around me, CREAM, get the money, dollar dollar bill yall!!!

I was mortified, and just left, and he didn't give me the change.

What did he mean?

I like my job, but a friend of my fathers let me know there is an opening in his company and I have the exact expereince they are looking for. I researched the company and this could be a really good opportunity for me at a higher pay then I am making now. I am supposed to call him today, I am assuming he will want to set up an interview with the person I would be working under, but how can I do this when my current job is a 9-5? Do I tell them I have a Dr. appt or somethng like that? I dont want to lie and burn bridges here because I like it and want a good recommendation from them, but dont want to tell them I'm interviewing either. If I do agree to go on the interview and call in sick to work, doesnt that look bad to the company who is interviewing me that I would lie about sick time? How else can I go about this? THank you

My aunt is in a meeting... and i get to use the computer... the 1 issue is that all the sites i use ARE BLOCKED!! (uh that is so gay)...any suggestions!? but at least i get to go to a concert later (haha randomness)

I always have to go around 10am (that's my time) and there is a row of 10 stalls in my floor's men's bathroom. I will be in there alone, and guess what, the next guy that has to go uses the stall next to me! Are they perverts with a poop fetish? Why would you do this!?!?! (If you are on of them)? Why!?!?!?!

OK, here's the deal - you're heavy into a Y!A session at work, and suddenly you feel like you need to have a poo... You're so engrossed in answering questions, that you put it off and put it off...

Finally, you reach the point where you're prairie-doggin' it, and you can't wait any longer. So you stand up, but realize that the trip to the bathroom is gonna be a close call. So - do you:

1. Do the penguin waddle in an obvious attempt to keep the poo from soiling your undies, knowing that your coworkers are gonna know what is going on?

2. Squeeze your butt cheeks real hard and try to walk normally, playing it off like nothing's happening.

3. Do a full-out sprint, pretending that you need to go retrieve an urgent document off the printer and/or fax machine.

My real name is Pamela and in the workplace someone I usually get along with has started calling me Pammy which might be ok if I'm with family but I thinik it's patronising at work. I have no intention of falling out with this person especially because I am new so I am still trying to fit in the team. What would be the best way to tell this guy that I don't like being called Pammy without falling out with him? Or even showing that it offends me too much or it might backfire if he decides to do it more.

I'm on a limited income - as are most of my fellow residents - but they spend their monthly check really fast and always come to me for 'loans'... Fifty years ago you would not see a Barber Shop Without a Barber pole. Also is the Barber pole International or only used in the USA?

Vent about three things you actually HATE...please no more than three things but you can expound on each one.


I HATE the sound of food being eaten......slurp munch slush grind suck chew...YUCK! Especially when theaters make sure you hear it to make the point of someone eating......drives me crazy

I HATE it when people don't use proper movie ettiquet. Babies that don't belong in the movies in the 1st place, cell phones ringing, talking to loud, kicking the back of my seat. I am sure there is more but it all goes here.

I HATE it when people use cells phones at the worst times...during an important conversation, dinner out, theater, driving the car, church, any kind of ceramonies, ....and more

During my last year of college,I had a sexual relationship with this guy.It didn't end all too well because he claimed that he thought I was me who had been prank calling his phone.Anyhow, after he did accuse me of that we still continued to sleep with each other, I called him, he called me, there was no problem until suddenly I text message him about something I left at his house and he tells me to not call him anymore and threatens to tell people we mutually know about our relationship. And that he will put a restraning order against me and that He said he would'put my business out in the street" so the next day I get a call from one of his close friends whom never calls me inviting me to his event.This particular friend happens to be his best friend and who happens to be one of the members of the club I tried to join)so she invites me to his event, but I didn't go, and so everytime I see her school she ignored me, he ignores me, I'm feeling bad, feeling like I did something wrong

I try to reach out to her to wish her happy birthday, and congratulations on her performance at a school event ad I get ignored, I see him at school he ignores me, then I see him again and he smiles and calls me over so we can talk, but I tell him I have to go to class, but wish him luck.The other members of the club speak to me , another member even gave me a hug, so i guess my question would be should I still try to join the club even though my reputation might have been ruined by me having a relationship with him

So at the homecoming dance, I was having a great time. And I got pulled into a line and I just kept dancing. I did not do any hands on knees or bend over, but lets just say momma would not be totally proud of me. And I realized that some guy from our news broadcast at school filmed us dancing and now I'm so scared it's going to be in the show. I'm a pretty conservative person, so if it does show up, it will definitely hurt my rep. If it does, how should I handle it?

im 15. my gramma let me borrow her pink shirt. i tried it on and it looks cute on me. i really want to keep it. i have worn it for three days. now im washing it. when i wear it, i think of her. i saw her today and she wanted her shirt back. i lied and said "i cant find it." the other time i said "its washing." i keep making excuses just so i can keep the shirt. how can i make her let me keep it? i dont want to give it back because i love the shirt and it reminds me of her. i dont want to tell her. help
