So at the homecoming dance, I was having a great time. And I got pulled into a line and I just kept dancing. I did not do any hands on knees or bend over, but lets just say momma would not be totally proud of me. And I realized that some guy from our news broadcast at school filmed us dancing and now I'm so scared it's going to be in the show. I'm a pretty conservative person, so if it does show up, it will definitely hurt my rep. If it does, how should I handle it?

It will most likely show up, so prepare for it. Your mom will probably hear of it and perhaps see it, so prepare for it.

When Jackie Kennedy and also Princess Diana were filmed in compromised positions by the Pavorazzi, they kept their cool. In fact, the same photographers later gave respect for Mrs. Kennedy for her, standing, walking straight forward with her nose up and with a controlled manner walk out of their lenses. Be courteous and be strong.
As Jesus would say, "Go and sin no more." I would also add, "Don't do that again...your later enemies will definitely dig and keep records of them for later use."
Don't worry; it will pass if you don't make it public with your reactions.

Consider it a lesson learned... prepare for the worst... hope for the best, and next time do as the old adage states: Never do or say ANYTHING that you would NOT want to see on the FRONT PAGE of the New York Times the next morning.

Have a polite day.

I'm glad you recognize that kind of dancing is inappropriate. At this point I think the only thing you can do is approach the people who filmed and respectfully request that they don't include the footage of you in the program. They may or may not follow your request, but I think that's all you can do.

If someone thinks differently of you just because you were dancing like every other teen out there-- is that person really a good friend? I wouldn't worry about it-- and reputations aren't everything.

Hold your head up high, and smile thru it. And in the future, think twice before doing stuff like that again. Might get put on the news, or maybe be put all over the internet.

Just play it off like you were just having an awsome time, it'll blow over sooner then later anyways.
