I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, but seriously, what you are asking us here is to give you a way that you can steal a shirt from your grandma. Please, is lying to your grandma and stealing from her really worth a shirt? I think you should return the shirt and apologize to your grandma, explaining that it took you a long time to give it back because you liked it so much. As the previous answerer mentioned, many grandmas are pushovers, so she is likely to offer it to you at that point. But even if she doesn't, a clean conscience will be a lot better than a shirt.

First of all come clean and tell her you like the shirt. Ask her where she bought that one and go buy or ask her to buy you one. Most grandmas are push overs, so if you honest she will be mad, but respect you for telling the truth. Or tell her that you want that to be on your Christmas wish list. This way she will be less mad at the moment and get you what you want. You never want to break the bond between you and your grandparents, because they only have so much time with you and you want your memories be good ones of them and your time with them.

Sounds like you have a pretty cool Gramma. :^)

With that being the case, why don't you just tell her how much you love the shirt and that it reminds you of her.

She would most likely let you keep it then.

There's really no reason to lie about returning it and if you continue to keep it without her permission, that will make you a thief who steals from their grandmother. (shaking my head)

You want us to tell you how to steal your Grandmother's shirt? Especially after you have already lied about it? What a nasty thing you are trying to do to the Grandma who loves you!

Give that shirt back to her immediately! And apologise for lying to her

I can't imagine a shirt where both a grandma and a 15 year both like. Haha. Nonetheless, ask her where she got it. Don't lie about it. The first guy's response is also very good.

Ask her if you can keep it. I bet she already knows how much you like it. Grandmas are great that way, they'll give you the shirt off their back!

If you really love your Gramma, give the shirt back.
It belongs to her, and you are being downright rude to not only keep it, but to lie about it.

tell her exactly that. "Grandma, I love that shirt. I don't want to give it back because whenever I wear it I always think of you!"

she'll probably suck it up and let you keep it.

Reminds you of her? I don't think so. If that were true you wouldn't be afraid to tell her and ask to keep it for sentimental reasons. I'm guessing you probably stained it or ripped it or loaned to to someone else. Whatever, be honest.

Tell her that you love the shirt and you could pay whatever she payed for it so you can keep it.... Good Luck on whatever choice you make!
