Life isn't fair. I do not accept help from others based on the assumption that I will be required to give it in turn, but on the basis of need. That said, I do give help to others as well as receiving help. Of course, I don't keep a tally of who has given more or received more help either. It might not be balanced, but I am not particularly concerned about that.

I like to give help but know the type you are speaking of and can spot them a mile off. I don't offer those types my help anymore as not only are they unlikely to reciprocate they generally aren't even appreciative of the help they've been given. It's like they expect it.

No. I'm usually the one offering help. If I need help and someone offers, that's great. If I need help and no one offers, I'll ask outright for assistance.
