try and make sense? i don't care if you don't spell good or use proper grammar, but at least put down complete thoughts and use somewhat proper english. i don't even read questions where the asker felt it was ok to leave out words like "it", "so", etc..

this isn't a search engine.

and i won't read questions that use "dat" or "dem".

why are you so lazy, huh? my 12 year old sister writes better than many of these questions...............

A friend of mine just finished chemo treatment for cancer. She was extremely excited and other coworkers even brought in pink balloons for her (she had breast cancer). Do you send a "Congratulations" card? If not, what should I send?

There's this girl I chat with from time to time at work. Nothing heavy, just small-talk stuff. She's not in my department, and I have NO idea what her name is! Is there a way I can find out without her knowing that I don't know? It makes me feel kind of guilty. I mean, you can just chat with someone for 4 months and suddenly be like "oh, by the way, what's your name again?" can you?

She wears no makeup, no nice clothes, I wonder if she even showers. Nothing nice to see at all! She just ties up her hair and comes in to work. She says that since she has 2 kids and has to wake up early, that she does not have time for that, and doesn't care anyway.

Do most working women with kids feel this way? Is she just being lazy? What do you think?

Some people seem to get very angry at some very rhetorical questions, questions which are not directed at anyone in particular. Some people get very mean for no reason. There are very few who have answered my questions with honesty, knowledge, and kindness. Why are human beings so rude these days?

My friends say that I am too kind for my own good. They say I let people use me. Is there a way I can stop being that way? Is it such a bad thing that I like to help people?

I am 25y/o and lkiving with my parents, who go away a lot. The local milkman has been delivering in this area for as long as i can remember (although we buy our milk in and have never had it delivered),, he is well known for being weird.

Last Friday, when my parents were away, i was getting ready to go out in the morning and had just had a shower when the phone went, so i ran to the front room and answered it, dressed in my dressing gown. as i finished the conversation and walked upstairs again the doorbell rang twice, so i rushed down to answer it but nobody was there apart from the milkman, sat in his milk float opposite our house, he was just staring at me. I ignored him and walked inside. Then this morning i walked past him and he had a horrible smile on his face and was staring at me as i went past.

What can i do? i cannot prove he is harassing me, the police would never listen and i have a feeling he wouldnt either.

I was venting to my ex - who is still a really good friend- about financial troubles. I just needed to get it off my back. Well, he picked up and sent me a check for 200$, after I'd already told him not to. He's in iraq for the next few years, so he said that I need it more then he does. I really don't want to accept money from him- or anyone- but I really do need it pretty badly. What do you think? Should I take it from him?

My daughter is invited to a birthday party for twins (a boy and girl). The girl is in her class but the boy is in another class. The classes do certain activities together (lunch, gym) so my daugher does know the boy. Since both classes are invited to the birthday party, should she take a gift only for the girl in her class since the boy's classmates will be bringing him gifts? Otherwise each child will receive 24 gifts due to the number of kids attending.
