I can't speak for other people, but as for me, it's because I'm always right. It's hard not to be arrogant when you're always right. It goes to your head.

Friend,

Arrogance is a word we use, when people behave in a superior way than expected.
The meaning of arrogance is;

The act or habit of arrogating, or making undue claims in an overbearing manner; that species of pride which consists in exorbitant claims of rank, dignity, estimation, or power, or which exalts the worth or importance of the person to an undue degree; proud contempt of others; lordliness; haughtiness; self-assumption; presumption

So,you can see how the arrogat people behave. It may be basically due the person's mental attitude or feeling that he is superior to one in some way or other.
Some children from rich families look down upon poor people less rich than them selves and feel proud, and behave arrogantly. They do not aswer or speak to other people.
Some think they are very knowledgeable and behave in arrogant way (actually the knowledge shall make the arrogant a polite person).
Some think they are very beautiful and every body is after them and think very high of them selves....and this is reflected in their behaviour.
some feel that they are from Royal families ,and the their blood is different...and they try to command...as if they are Kings or queens.
It is nothing but a mental aberration.
Try toavoid them...the more you speaktothem the more arrogant they become.
Some people are honest ad right i their behaviour and out spoke...theirbehaviour is misunderstood as arrogace.Itis their self confidence in them selves. If they deserve it it can be tolerated.Eve these people canbe polite.

Ignorance and inferiority complex.
Ignorance about the greatness of others and about the meanness of themselves.
To shield their weakness before public on matters vital to living.

Mostly it's because they are insecure. If they can make you think they are better than you, they think that somehow they are. Not true. If they had something to be arrogant about it would come out as being respectful, kind and likeable.

They forget to think that the next moment is not in their hands and ultimately end up either in earth as fodder to worms or blazing fire to turn up as hot ash. lileeann33

In my experience with customers, it's because they have money. A lot of money. Somehow that makes them better than me. But I look down on them because of their behavior. If they only knew...

I have found that arrogance is a cover up for insecurity. The more insecure a person becomes, the more arrogant he/she becomes.

Because they just jerks. And may very well have small penises. That makes them feel better, to be a jerk to others.
