I am considering working at Hooters but I donno if that will label me. My friend works there but she is kinda a crazy girl. But thats why I love her. So should I work there; I would make a lot more money than where I work now. MAZZIOS PIZZA!

I worked at Hooters for several years while I was in college. It was a wonderful experience and the tips were excellent. There are alot of stereotypes about Hooters girls but at the one I worked at we were all college girls having a good time. Management is very strict regarding harrassment and although men flirted with us never did I feel uncomfortable nor was I touched inappropriately. Also, you might get sent out to different events, like baseball games and boat shows and these really are alot of fun. I work in a very conservative professional field now but working at Hooters has never harmed my career. Of course, do not tell ANYONE at work since so many are judgemental and deny, deny, deny if anyone claims to have seen you there. If you can get a job at Hooters, do it! If someone labels you then they either have security issues or they are jealous.
You'll look back at it as a fun experience. Plus, I kept my uniform and I'd be lying if I said I didn't still wear it once in awhile around the house for my husband. ;)

I am a 62 yr. old woman. I waited tables for 12 years when I was young and just starting out. I have eaten at Hooter's a couple of times. I think it would be a good place to work. The money ought to be great if you are a good waitress. You may have to put up with some crap, but I am sure it wouldn't get out of hand as management won't allow it to.

A job,any job,is only as tacky as the person doing it makes it. I don't get any big thrill out of Hooters or from any of the stripper T and A bars.(I know that's not what Hooters is) I don't want to just look at women. I want to love a woman as my own,not share her with the world. Just my thoughts.

I guess it's all about how you feel about putting on that uniform. You will get looked at, men will flirt with you, how would that make you feel? If you don't have a problem then go for it and don't worry about what people might think of it. It's your life. I don't go there for the simple reason those girls go out of their way to make an extra dollar for a tip, not at all classy.

I'm glad the Hooters girls make good money. That can be the only reason they are happy about walking around in those pantyhose and ugly shorts.

I say, if thats what you want to do and you will make more money, go for it. I see nothing wrong with it. There probably a few things you would need to prepare yourself for, like being hit on by cheesy men, wearing an uncomfortable-looking outfit, etc. I dont think people will label you too bad and if they do, just tell them to stick it, while you enjoy your extra $$!

It's delightfully tacky!! It's a job, i'm sure you are still pretty young, sexiness sells and who doesn't need the money. Now it's how you actually act when you are doing the job. Don't be a dummy bobble head just to get the tips, you don't have degrade yourself to stupid comments AND, please DO look decent in the outfit. I'm a woman but I hate when you see girls w/nasty bodies and no boobs in those outfits.

Very humorous ha ha ! LoL That jogs my memory, there was a pub in the Worlds end, i think of ? previous Kent Rd, London, that had the comparable element, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it rang a bell ! somewhat reliable stuff, waiting for the females to apply the rest room !!!!!!

Its both tacky and delightful. If you tell most guys later on, they will think that is kinda hot (delightful). If you tell most women that,t hey will be less than impressed (tacky). Its all about perspective :)
