i would stop if they really needed my help. What you do in life comes back on you whether it be good or bad -- so I personally try to do my best to be nice because I want to be treated the same way if I ever am in need.
Then again I was raised in the south and have southern hospitality. I now live in CA and people seem to get mad at me when I try to be nice or say hello or lend a helping hand -- so I guess you should just go with your instincts

I definitely would stop. A job or dinner is nothing compared to helping someone in trouble. Unless it's a creepy looking guy and I'm alone in my car. That might not be good. But generally, I would stop if I didn't think my safety would be endangered.

Depends on what I was running late for and what the situation was with the other person.

I guess it depends on the situation. If I felt it was something that I could help with then I'd probably stop and help.

If possible, I would stop and do what I could. I would try to be what I would wish for if the situation were reversed.

Depends on what kind of help they need. If they're injured, yes, I'd stop.
