I don't think forgetfulness reflects on a person's intellect. Everyone is forgetful sometime or another.

If it concerns me, I think it can be rude not stupid. If you know you are forgetful, figure out a way to remember things that are important to you and others. Write them down, have someone remind you, get a watch with an alarm, etc.

No its just being forgetful. Theres pills you can take for that.

Sometimes.It can be influenced by the amount of work you are doing, attention deficit, distractions, etc.
My older son writes lists on his arm because 'you can't lose or misplace your arm'.
