Here is a list:
-Ariel (probably not really easy to walk in... ;-)
-Belle (when you have brown/black hair)
-Sleeping Beauty (maybe a little harder to recognize)
-Snow white (probably not as expensive)
- Yasmin (Aladdin)
- Cinderella (when you are blond I would choose her)

No one has said my favorite. I'd go as Mulan.
How many people are invited to this party? But there is only 8 princesses so probably everyone is going to be dressed the same anyway, but even more so on the obvious ones. There are going to be 15 Cinderellas and Sleeping Beautys as they have castles.
But my favorite is Mulan. Second choice, Pocohontas.

Snow White, Cinderella is the first thing that comes to my mind. I don't know the disney animated movies very well, but are there any princess's in them? MLJ

Ariel would be awkward (not to mention possibly a bit risque). I'd probably choose Jasmine for a fun, no worries costume, or Belle from "Beauty and the Beast" if I were the type to dress up.

Any of them! Cinderella, Snow White, Belle - they are all very popular and marketed as princesses, so it would be easy to find a costuume for any of them. Also you will be able to find any kind/variation of costume - cheap, nice, slutty, fancy- you name it!

if you're brunette belle is your best option, if you're raven haired o black hair you'll look pretty dressed as snow white and if you're blonde well aurora or cinderella is your style.
