Digging is a nice activity! Is it not? That is why,we find so many prolific NOSE DIGGERS! I sometimes wonder as to why we were taught nose hygiene if it is an activity of great merit! Looking at nose excavators making rolls of excavated material,it is nothing but a sick feeling that one feels from within as u have to watch them perforce. If this person happens to be ur boss who signs and gives u the papers and files that u have to handle, what do u do? Can anyone suggest a solution as to how to put the message across to one's boss or anybody for that matter.Am getting sleepless nights and days over this issue. Can anybody out there help me,please?

Ive been at my job for 7 years now. i just moved to a new location. Its a whole different ball game there. Its unprofessional and theres 1 manager to 100 people. The people there are my so called "friends" but I guess because of my appearence they steriotype me. I dress nice and keep myself up. They choose to dress down and that FINE. They tell me im ditzy and that im rich snobby white girl. And I talk like a valley girl. I guess cause im come in with a smile and & very nice. They say im too nice to people & i need to start being rude & sticking up for myself (they are the ones who are being mean). Well, they are rude to EVERYONE. I love everyone & i see these people out of work cause they are supposed to be my friends but their words hurt me. When i try to tell them that it does, they tell me 2 get over it. I think im just gonna stop talking to people altoghter. What else should i do? I mean, i thought we were all adults. i dont want to tell on them cause ill feel like im being mean.

How are you supposed to set the table from left to right with silverware? is it spoon on the left and then on the right two forks and a knife? And which one is the salad fork? The long skinny one, or the short fat one?

I'm sure other people do it too and the security guards know that, then why do they give the people (who forgot the ID for the first time in 2 years) the same dirty look like we do it everyday?

Open doors as in a door already opened and passed by someone who then holds the door seeing that someone is walking up to the door behind them, so they pause and keep the door open for them, until they get close enough (within fingertips or arms length) for them to hold the door themselves, et cetera

Hello, I am currently working on a play. I am starting with the end of a funeral service, just before the coffin is carried away from church. After someone has talked, I want the priest or minister to say something. I just wonder what they could say that would make this funeral service believable. Would it be "ashes to ashes and dust to dust" or something along the line, or could a minister basically say whatever they want?

I am a freelancer and have been at my job for a few weeks. I do not receive benefits, paid holidays, vacation or sick leave, and I do not have guaranteed hours.

I don't even have a permanent employee ID or parking permit, and I share a workspace with 3 other people.

But as soon as I started, I was put on the kitchen clean-up list! This means that every once in a while I have to clean the entire kitchen, which gets digusting because people are slobs.

It doesn't seem fair that I have none of the benefits of being a permanent employee, yet I'm expected to have the cleaning duties. Am I wrong?

A co-worker of mine died last tues from a long battle with throat cancer, He was a pest to a lot of people..just stopping by their booth and rambling about lots of non sense and interupting the production day! He really got on my nerves a lot cause it seemed that he had to walk by my station to and from the bathroom daily and he never failed to stop and go on and on about any and everything.Well the last time he stopped by, i sort of gave him a good going over cause he just would'nt stop talking and interupting my work so i gave him a mean stare and smacked my lips and said"paleeze stop it, i don't have time for this today" well he left and the next day he was found dead in his apartment by his oldest son! Should i feel bad that i was mean to him on his last day? Why do i feel so sorry?

I have a coworker who always talks about her kids, it's all she ever talks about. Then if I have something to say about my kid, she has to top it, try to show me up. And it's not just me it's everyone. Another co-worker came back to work from maternity leave and was showing people pictures of the new baby and the other woman butts in to show pictures of her kids (who are 4 and 6..not new babies) And on top of it, her kids are bratty little snots because she spoils them and tells them how great they are.

So how do you tastefully tell someone that you don't want to hear about the kids anymore? And I don't want to be rude so please don't reply with anything rotten or stupid.

Our downstairs people are 3 koreans. Their parents bought this 2 level condo for them. They like to do their activity at night, especially after 11 p.m, till 2 a.m or 3 a.m..My God!!!!
They even vaccum at 2 a.m. We have been suffered for 4 months. The music, the laughing, and yelling, screaming.. Have talked to them, they said sorry and lowered their volume. But the next day they still do the same thing. However, they get better. Before they did 3 times a week, now they do once a week.

Now, they kinda do that on purpose, and try to test our limit. We called them, they lower volume, or they go their 1st floor. But at 2 a.m they come back . We just bought the place and we are stuck. Shouldn't people be more considerated, especially they live in a wood building?

I said Koreans are rude, because I told my friends, before I told them who they are. They asked. "Are they Koreans?"
That's why I said so. Or maybe I am just wrong?

I work as a receptionist/switchboard operator for some brokers/finacial advisers. They get plenty of calls throughout the day and have people coming in for meetings and most go through me. However, there are about three brokers who never let me know when they are leaving or when they will be back. There have been many, many times when I've sent calls to their offices to have them return to my phone and I'm left stuttering to some client because they are not in the building. I'm suppoed to take messages for these guys and never know anything! The other four or five brokers actually let me know when they're leaving, when they'll be back, to send people to voicemail or not, if they're leaving for the day, etc. The assistants of the other 3 don't even let me know when the brokers leave! They have been told many times to let me know when they leave but still don't do it. What would you do in this situation?

Some of my family members thinks that you only have to RSVP to a party (or anything with an invitation) if you are not going to make it. I firmly believe that anytime there is an RSVP requested that you should respond if you can make and if you can't. I think its rude not to respond either way. People need to know who much food and drinks need to be served or how many favors need to be prepared. Please provide supporting documentation in your answer as I am having a party this weekend and would like to print it out for those of my family members who show up and did not RSVP.

I realize that this question has probably been asked before, but I was watching "Reservoir Dogs" the other day. If you've never seen it, the opening scene involves a man called Mr. Pink explaining his view on tips and the service industry.

Essentially, he doesn't believe in tipping just because society says that he should, and that as far as he's concerned they're just doing their jobs. He kind of brings up a good point of why society can isolate a group of service workers and say that it's acceptable to tip these employees, but not emphasize it with those employees; apparently he worked minimum wage at a fast-food restaurant, which wasn't a job that society deemed tip-worthy.

How did tipping get started, and why DO we tip some types of jobs but not others if they both make the same amount or essentially the same work? How can employees pay less than minimum wage based on the assumption of tips? Has tipping become mandatory? Does it make me a cheap customer to question it?

Thoughts?
