No, not because I like the feel, and I never felt the need to check marshmellows for staleness either. I only squeeze certain kinds of fruit and veggies, avocado's, prunes... and then just enough to feel if they're okay to eat.

I ahve never squeezed marshmallows, but will try it.I check the expiration date.I squeeze all kinds of fruit,and smell them.And refuse to buy unsqueezed bread.....

No, but when I worked there I liked to poke holes in the giant bags of beans, watch them all spill out (in the back of the shelf behind the other bags) then stick my hands in there. It feels really cool!

i do. i used to squeeze any bread/buns in bags too but it's not really considerate. at least the marshmallows return to their original form

I squeeze (slightly) raw veggies and fruits to see if ripe or not

Of course. If they are good marshmallows, then they are sqeezable. If they are stale then they are harder to squeeze.

I can't stand marshmallows myself, but you have to see if they are fresh or stale . . I always test bread by squishing it a little.
