Why do people just read off the screen when you want more information?

I just called this place where i live about more information for this adult class they have. And the lady read right from what is posted online on their site. I already read this, and i asked for like papers on the class and what not....but she just read from the screen!

Are people that do this uncertain what you mean? Or not know that much about that particular area?

Most places like that hire very uneducated people to answer the phones, and instruct them to read directly from the website. I think this is really annoying because it's like they don't have brains and can't even think for themselves, and they don't hear what you say.

However, most people's questions are probably already answered on the website, they just don't see it.

When I worked in retail and a customer had a question about a product, 90% of the time it could be answered by reading the box.

at the instant had comparable element in my V70 and for extra or less 2 hours in place 2 you leave the automobile on till the radio says CODE then you certainly can enter the code = 4 digits i think of. you ought to call the broking and not Volvo corp. they no longer provide out the codes, purely the broking or a volvo shop. good success.

Maybe she was filling in for someone else and what she read off the site was the only info she had access to. Maybe she was having a bad day and just didn't care. Maybe she didn't KNOW you had already read the info off the site and thought that would help. (People aren't mind-readers.)
