Our downstairs people are 3 koreans. Their parents bought this 2 level condo for them. They like to do their activity at night, especially after 11 p.m, till 2 a.m or 3 a.m..My God!!!!
They even vaccum at 2 a.m. We have been suffered for 4 months. The music, the laughing, and yelling, screaming.. Have talked to them, they said sorry and lowered their volume. But the next day they still do the same thing. However, they get better. Before they did 3 times a week, now they do once a week.

Now, they kinda do that on purpose, and try to test our limit. We called them, they lower volume, or they go their 1st floor. But at 2 a.m they come back . We just bought the place and we are stuck. Shouldn't people be more considerated, especially they live in a wood building?

I said Koreans are rude, because I told my friends, before I told them who they are. They asked. "Are they Koreans?"
That's why I said so. Or maybe I am just wrong?

I am not racism. I kinda feel bad too because I am an asian too. My husband told me to get things big, so we have kept it small. Because they might do things worse on purpose. They seem don't give a **** to me since I am a woman, so sometimes I drag my husband to talk to them with me. At meantime, I'm afirad and feel bad to complain to Strata to them.

I highly symphatize with your situation and yes, as neighbours they should be more considerate to people living around them. However, my guess is that these koreans are young people or even late teens. And as we all know, most young people, not limited to koreans only, tend to be less caring and considerate and like to stay up late at night. However, though given this is the very nature and character of teenagers/young people nowadays, this is by no means an acceptable behaviour. I suggest you to try talking to them again but this time keep in mind, the nature of young people, and be wise in your approach to explain to them and make them understand what they were doing wrong. As with young people, they tend to still be in rebellious state. As such talking to them as friend or in a friendly way and by making them understand, not only you will gain respect from them, you may also see the result of your work effective immeadiately and last for a long time. The point is that when talking to young people, it's not enough to just get the point across their minds as most people do when they utter commands or even worse, threats. You need to get the point to settle and be rooted in their minds. I understand this takes a lot of effort and may be uncomfortable to do this, but the bottom line is it is better to make friends than enemies anytime. However, if after all these efforts and they don't seem to amend their ways, then it is time to take matters more seriously and report them to the higher authorities. Good luck!

Well, I guess you now know why the former owners of your unit sold. I wished you had asked this question BEFORE you contacted these people. I would have advised you to complain to the condo board DIRECTLY AND OFTEN till they quieted down. Most Condo complexes have quiet hour rules... Generally 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM check your bylaws.
I would still contact the Condo board.... but be aware that these people will know it's you that has complained. They may retaliate by making more noise. Condos are messy affairs... I WISH I had avoided buying one... I am sure you will regret your purchase too... Sorry just being honest.
You sound like a very kind decent considerate person... but sadly most other people are not considerate. I have lived in a CONDO for 5 plus years and most people are rude, noisy and inconsiderate to others.

Koreans aren't rude, but your neighbors are. Again, beside the point, but some of the attitude might have worn off on them. It sounds as if they're younger kids (since their parents bought the place) and just not very mature. Yes, the homeowner's association is a good place to go since you've already tried to deal with them directly. This is a hard one, and best of luck. Worst case, you can call the police, but this would probably escalate things beyond the ability to return to a civil or friendly situation.

I used to live in an apartment complex that was almost all Koreans. They were actually pretty quiet, and never complained about all the noise me and my friends would make. However, they do stay up really late and sometimes I'd hear them arguing and screaming at each other outside, not inside. Cops would be at our place for domestic violence all the time, and it wasn't ghetto at all.

You should file a complaint with your Homeowner's Association. By the way, they are not loud because they are Koreans. They are loud because they're people. I had the same problem with my white neighbors. Does that mean all white people are loud? Probably but that's not the point here......good luck!

Doesn't your condo have an owners association or a management company. Complain to them.
