Like when I'm quoting him/her, who's quoting me, who am quoting him/her, etc., when I reply.

Because if I do keep it, it's easier to follow along without backtracking, but if I delete it, the conversation takes up less space in my mailbox.

I work at a grocery store, and so the stamps we have are what the local post office gives us. And where i work at the store, we sell individual stamps..and i have books of stamps(as well as all the cashiers).

anyways, how can i deal better with those who no longer want the stamps after they see them? they get all nasty with me. I just smile and say "ok". Then i have to void off the entire thing....which i have the highest void rate in the store...because of people like these...

Should i show them the stamps before they actually want them? or what?

I am Male and have a better relationship with my Mother. She was always the one to discipline so I guess I always feared, respected, honored, and LOVED her. I LOVE my parents equally, but in different ways and for different reasons.

Charles hasn't been himself lately. Forgetting simple things. Just the other day he improperly introduced a Count as an Earl. Before that occasion he handed the Exchequer the Town Barrister's overcoat! I hate to replace the old boy but I'm sure you can understand how the townspeople's tongue's must be wagging over such unforgiveable oversights! Oh, the humilation! Should I dismiss him or continue to suffer as I am now?

I was just wondering why people have to be rude in their answers. If you don't have a good answer to the question, then don't answer anything at all! Is the internet the only place you can kick people while they're down perhaps

What should I do if I am sitting down in a crowded classroom right in the middle of a lecture. Suddenly, I have to go to the bathroom really bad. What should I do so the professor won't get angry or I won't embarass myself in front of the rest of the students.

...which is of of my specialties. Three other couples were also invited.

The (prospective) guest informed me that she ate no fish for moral reasons, and that her children didn't like fish at all.

I was dumbfounded. My questions:

1. Who said anything about inviting her children?! It was a dinner invitation that wouldn't have broken up until 11 p.m., which is much too late for children.

2. Did this woman expect me to play short-order cook for her? She's not allegric to fish, so it wouldn't have killed her to shut up and eat the main course as a grown up would. Alternatively, she could have pretended to have a conflictng appointment (another thing that grown-ups do).

Am I losing my mind, or is this woman's behavior considered normal?

Thanks for your input.

I have been told it's considered declasse, when a performance merits a standing ovation, not to stand. I'm also interested in the origin of the custom of a standing ovation, or any facts about it. And why is this civility so often not honored at modern performances?

By childish I mean they can't stand to see anyone here at work get ahead of them. Everyone is always telling on someone else for something like grade school kids. I swear it's like a 3rd grade class around here, yet we are all adults!! And this isn't an office full of women either, it's actually mostly men. Then everyone walks around all friendly "how ya doin?" to your face and will go in someone else's office and bad mouth you~What's up with adults acting like that????

I know why. Definitely. Of course. It's because I'm always anxious in those kinds of situations, or any situations involving talking to someone or people. OR, I usually lick my lips so much, the skin on my lips is usually white and moist and comes of immediately, yet there are usually white specks from this left-over skin, and it's pretty embarrassing when I'm in front of people so I lick my lips (out of nervousness) even MORE which only intensifies the situation.

My lips usually bleed (without me noticing/feeling the blood) or are very sore, as they are now. I even do this without noticing, it's like an instinct, it's like breathing.

This horrific habit is ruining my social life more than it already is ruined, what can I do to stop it? How? Can anyone relate or has any other bad social habits? I'm 12 years old.

I want to write invitations for a wedding reception and would like to put a notation about gifts. The couple needs money for their honeymoon. What would be the best way to put that in an invitation or is this rude to do. The couple I am talking about are older and they both had their own houses and their combined stuff is too much already. They don't really need anything else for their house. They really need money for a honeymoon.
