What should I do if I am sitting down in a crowded classroom right in the middle of a lecture. Suddenly, I have to go to the bathroom really bad. What should I do so the professor won't get angry or I won't embarass myself in front of the rest of the students.

If you're in college the prof shouldn't even acknowledge the fact that you left. If he does, stare right at him and say "I have to use the restroom, is that OK with you?" with a look of disgust on your face. YOU pay his salary, just get up and go when you have to.

Stand give a slight bow recognizing the Professors position and leave the room quickly and return as soon as possible Im sure the Professor will make sure you miss nothing even to telling you after the lecture what you missed the important bit is showing repect.

If you have issues in this area, where you go from "ok" to "potty emergency" in a very short amount of time, then make it a habit to sit on the end of a row or as close as possible, and near the door.
If not, and you simply forgot to go before class began, then don't forget next time.
It's not that you, one person, getting up in the middle of a lecture is so disruptive, but that usually can trigger a chain reaction of "potty emergencies."

Quietly walk out without making a scene go and come back in quietly so you don't disturb the rest of the class. Next lecture try to go before it.

If you can't hold it, get up quietly and use the restroom. Much better than the alternative.
