Like when I'm quoting him/her, who's quoting me, who am quoting him/her, etc., when I reply.

Because if I do keep it, it's easier to follow along without backtracking, but if I delete it, the conversation takes up less space in my mailbox.

Depends on the person and the context. With my business emails, I always include the entire record - it a necessary paper trail sometimes. However, with personal emails I rarely keep the quoted text, unless I'm responding to something in particular in the message, in which case I keep only the part I'm responding to.

Hope this helps.

hello, how are u 2 day?
my answer would be, if you can remember what the last person said/talked about then, by all means, delete it.

if you have poor memory then keep it until you continue on to the next subject.
you should have plenty of room in your 'in box', so why bother unless you are at your maximum.

when someone sends me a an e-mail,via the reply option, they usually have on the setting that you see the entire set of e-mails sent. i have mine set to you don't send any of the 'old' message along. but it's all about personal preference.

go to your options, and down near the bottom, it will give you that one, that you can see all or part or none of the previous e-mail when responding.

good luck with it.

Sometimes the huge quoted e-mails are a pain. You could delete everything but the most recent message. That way, your message will be small, but you'll still be able to keep track of the conversation.

I usually keep the last correspondence saved. That way I remember what I need to talk about but I don't have to save all of it.

Keep as much as is relevant to your reply. Delete the rest.
