I've said it a thousand times...anonymity breeds bravery and stupidity.
Ignore the trolls.

I'm sure the Internet isn't the only place you can kick people while they're down. People will be who they are and there are rude people in this world, many are in management position's, many drive cars and unfortunately, many deal with the public on a daily basis. I don't think these are very happy people and I avoid them if I can.

Not to sound rude but some questions are silly. I was always taught that there are no bad questions. However, even though there are no bad questions there are a lot of people with no common sense. They leave themselves open to ridicule. Unfortunately we can't monitor every question and answer. That is one reason Yahoo removed their discussion boards. Fortunately we still have the first amendment everywhere else in the US.

I don't agree with kicking a person while one is down, but some people post rude questions and deserve a rude answer.
Other than that I agree.
People have forgotten to be kind and polite to other's faces, much less when it's anonymous. It's truly sad.

No, the internet is just one of the places to kick people when they're down.
I have noticed people give rude answers to dumb questions or questions that they can research themselves.

People are rude in their answers on the internet because they can kick people anonymously and not worry about getting kicked back.

People are so lacking in self esteem that they find the only way to make themselves feel remotely worth while is to bash other people into the ground. Then they finally have someone who is lower then them, even if it is only temporary.
People who communicate this way really are incapable of acting any other way. They are unaware of actually being able to converse intelligently with someone and instead long to lash out and debase so that they do not appear lowly.
I stopped getting made at this type of person years ago. Now I just pity them. Pretty sad really. When you get mad at their behavior, just imagine how lowly and empty their life really is.

I don't really agree with the answers provided so far. some I do, but just in part. It seems now-a-days some (most) people just want the quick answer to their problems - most of them created by the answer-seekers themselves. Many of the questions I see here could have been answered quicker by the questioner just googling the results on the web. Maybe they are lonely and just want to communicate with someone - which they could easily and much better do by shutting off the computer and walking outside. The world is a changing and it ain't for the better. Get off your butt and figure something out for yourselves. Besides getting an answer - you might just feel as though you accomplished something.

Well human nature has some sad design in us so at times we will put down others to feel good or not as crappy.Sad as it is ,ignore all those who have nothing intelligent to say.Do not give your power away. What others think of you is none of your business ,think of it that way.And some just can't help themselves,if you set yourself up for rude comments.Peace

They have nothing better to do. They leave rude comments, because in reality they are really weak people, that have no idea what true humor is. After they leave a rude comment, they go to their other loser friends and brag about what they did, and get a good laugh out of it. Then they pleasure themselves, because their hands are the closest thign they will ever get to a meaningful relationship.

Maybe people are rude to you because they remember that time that you were on that crowded bus and you let this really huge Taco Bell grilled stuffed fart out and then you blamed it on this little old lady who was just trying to get to the hospital to have her kidney dialysis. Then there was that time that you were masturbating with that hot dog and it broke off in you and then when they pulled it out you put a bonnet and a diaper on it and kept telling people to "come meet my new baby."
I don't know, stuff like that.
