I agree with you some people on here are so rude &hateful and i think they just get on here to see how many people they can upset with their stupid answers !! It worries me the most when they give advice to the younger people on here because they can be so easily influenced by someone's remark that they may act upon it and that scares me !! I myself hope that i have helped in some way but to each his own it's a crazy world we live in !! Thanks for posting this question i was going to do it myself but you beat me to it !! GOD BLESS!!!

Most of the time I do have something to contribute but sometimes I put my 2 cents in for the 2 points. If you don't like it log out and go home.

2 points! then theres always the slight chance that you would at least find it funny and award a best answer! filthy 2 cents - thats why my mom always told me not to put money in my mouth!

Most of your other answers say the truth...easy points. I've thought about doing that, but I generally pick interesting questions to answer and I like to type. I am generally honest and I just can't help myself giving a better answer than 'because' .

well, there are a number of reasons.
- to get points
- to get a rise out of people
- cause they think they are amusing
- they think their opinion is valid
- and also, i notice that a lot of people give people thumbs down for no apparent reason. just becuase someone doesnt like the answer that is given, it does not mean that the answer is not valid.
- every body has their own opinions, and perspectives.

well said, morgana. I have had some experience on this site with a positively dreadful woman, who gives the most hateful and nasty responses to all the questions she answers. I can't for the life of me imagine how that can possibly give her any pleasure in life.

I think some do it just to get a rise out of people. Some do it for the points, some do it because they actually think their opinions are valid.
majority though- the ones who post the nonsense answers, are just looking to get a rise...
The ones who give one or two worded answers are just point gaming.

I hear ya but the same could be asked of those who post completely rediculous questions like:
Will I have sex tonight?
What is Windows?
Who is John Doe (reference to someone they know but you dont) dating?
I say... its not for the points its because certain folks have a huge need to be attention whores

People probably answer questions, when they haven't got anything to contribute because they either
- want to annoy the person asking the question.
- want to earn points. (Lame reason, I know...but oh well, some people just don't know any better.)
God Bless.

That depends on what being asked and each one of us mostly give OUR opinion rather agreed with or not! what's of value to me may not be to another and i answer as i see fit to what is being asked!
this is not to contribute it is to answer the questions asked! remember>>>>>>>>>>>>>>??
