Why in the world do people come in stores, with the kids, and then let the kids run a muck in the store. They pull stuff off the shelves, come in with food, and they get it on the merchandise, the kids run, etc. we as the people who work in these places, don't feel like we should be babysitting these children. I am just wondering am i the only one.

what do you think of that lady that is a single mom with four babies and everyone is telling her to give them or some of them up. do you think that she should keep them and she is doing the right thing or do you think that she made a mistake and was being selfish by not being able to provide for them?

After all, if I know someone is all gung-ho about the war in Iraq, I have the decency not to send them anti-war emails, and if I know someone doesn't celebrate my holiday, I don't send them religious emails--but I seem to get a lot of them.

What is a nice way to say 'no thanks'?

Or... should I just press the delete button?

If I remember correctly, he was in a seated position and holding a bottle up high while at the same time looking up at it as the "liquor" poured on his face. It was a fountain.

I have a friend who has three cats and she lets the cats jump all over her kitchen counters, dining table, etc. Whenever i go to her house, there is cat hair all over her carpet, and I dont mean just a little bit of cat hair, but like you can see the cat fur balls all over her carpet. She has invited me and my husband to Christmas dinner and judging from a past experience, she just doesnt seem to know how dirty her house is. Last time we went to eat dinner at her house, the placemats that our dinnerplates sat on were full of cat hair too. My husband was horrified and barely touched his food.

I feel so bad having to say no to their thoughtful invitation but I just cant seem to be able to eat at her house. How do I handle this situation? I know that she will continue to ask me to come over and eat and I just cant seem to get past the cat hair issue.

Help!

I hate kids, never want them, and never think I will want them. That's my choice, and nobody else's. So... I know most people think there's something wrong with couples who don't have kids and usually they like to tell you that. How can I handle those nosy rude people who constantly will pester me about it? I just want to live my life without everyone nagging me about when I'm going to have kids... This question is really aimed towards others in a similar situation.

OKays,,,for anyone who went to a big highschool or lives in a big city and went to school with a large Arab (mostly Lebanese) population...did you ever notice how most of the guys think they are big Pimps or Gangsters? OMG it drives me CRAZY!! They always try and talk like the rappers like 50Cent and any other cool rapper guy. Ufffff...why do they act like this? I just want to go up to a Leb guy who is talking like this "yo shawty i juz be wonderin' if yall wanna shake dat wit me sum time,,,KNOW WHA AM SAYIN'?" aahahahah they ALWAYS say "KNOW WHA AM SAYIN'" like they are from Snoop's neighborhood. Anyone else notice this? Btw am not hating on Arabs cuz I am one but am from KSA, not Lebanon or Palestine.

One of my supervisors does something that offends just about everyone working for her, as well as the other supervisors. If it gets busy, she pushes everyone (capable or not) off of the espresso bar and takes over.

Normally, I do not take it personally, sometimes other people do. Last night I was having a really bad day and I nearly blew up at her. I went into the back room and was in tears and the supervisor had no idea. I am not the first person that has reacted this way. I think that she does this as a means of asserting her authority in a negative way.

Instead of blowing up at her (or waiting until someone else does), the more effective way would be to communicate how I feel and indicate that others tend to agree. I could also go to the manager, but she wouldn't respect that and would think of it as tattling.

How do I approach her? This is a bossy, intelligent woman who likes each thing done a certain way.

My husband and I are recently married and it is the holiday season. We are very short on money.

Today I just found out that a girl I used to babysit died of a drug overdose or of something drug-related. I used to be best friends with her sister and as the family lived down the street, we were always at each others' houses. I live in another state now and can't go there, plus the funeral is family only/private.

In the obituary, they ask for donations for a drug treatment facility. I think it would be more suitable to give to this facility in the deceased's name than it would be to send flowers to the family. What is the etiquette for doing this? Do I donate and also send a card to the family? I don't care if they know that I donated or not, but I want them to know that I am thinking of them. I am not sure if the facility will give a list of donors to the family. What is appropriate in this situation? My last name has also changed; how do I sign?

Thanks,
Tara

Okay so this is the deal....last night at work the people in administration delivered plates of Gingerbread cookies for the Holidays. There were 12 cookies on the plate and there are 21 people in the department. Well the corridinator got ALL bent out of shape this morning because us on the night shift left 3 cookies on the plate. He even went so far as to email the lady in charge of distrubuting the cookies. I honostly didn't think of making the night shift save some for next day for the morning people. They have 8 to 9 people on their shift where I have 5 to 6 people on mine so either way there wouldn't have been enough for EVERYONE! Usually when the dayshift gets something, they let us have "whats left over" which is usually crap that has been sitting out all day long!!! I am curious as to what others would have done in this situation.

I have a friend who is always on her cell phone. We're in college, and it drives her roomie nuts. But we'll be hanging out in a group with other people, or going down for a cigarette, and she'll just start chit-chatting on the phone literally right in front of us. It's not even important stuff, she's just on it talking about whats happening at the present time. I think if she wants to talk on her cell for a long time she needs to remove herself from the group while she's doing it. Is this right?
