Etiquette - December 2006

My husband is going to court with his ex-wife this Monday. He wants my two year old son and I to attend. I just do not think this is appropriate. You do not bring wild toddlers into a court room. At least my son is. What is your opinion?

I do not like chocolate in any way, shape or form. I also do not do caffeine (found in chocolate). Now that the holidays are just around the corner, someone always has a box of chocolates they want to share. When asked, I politely say "no thank you." Then some of them say, "well, take one for later." Then I tell them I don't like or eat chocolate. They look at me like I have two heads and then I get responses like "oh, try this chocolate because you'll love it" or "why don't you like chocolate?" I am so sick of these stupid replies. Can anyone think of a good comeback next time I get an offer for chocolate? I told one person I was allergic and they stupidly repled "a small piece won't hurt you." If I was truly allergic, a small piece would most certainly hurt me!

My wife doesn't. I find this amazing on one hand, and unusual on the other. The closest she'll come if she's really mad is to say, "Oh, F!" instead of everyone's favorite four letter f-word. I'm awed by the self-control, but on the other hand I think, "Oh, just say it!"

For example I'm sending a gift and on the card I always list my first name, then the oldest child to the youngest child, then my husbands first name.

There is no last name on the card because the receipient knows us personally. My husband says that the order should be my first name, his first name then the children.

My sisters 10 year old daughter opened this e-mail, fortunately this ade is obviously uneducated and she could not understand what it meant as you see by the spelling and grammer but surely even the dregs of society have some moral standards.

I am supposed to give an ornament to a co-worker tonight at our ornament exchange party. I just found out the co-worker I am supposed to surprise with the ornament wont even be here!!
