"what happened in your marriage?"...and you try to make it as briefly as possible.."he was in a fatal accident years ago"...Now sometimes people just say >>>"oh, i am sorry"...others say.."what happened to him?'''' now i consider and feel that is a NOSY question ...because of the tragedy...' I will just say.."we don;t re-live it">>>HOW MUCH CLEARER CAN I MAKE IT"...WITHOUT GOING INTO DETAIL???? SOME PEOPLE don;t realize, but they are BADGERING YOU!!!

It really doesnt have to go this far. Just respond 'I'm sorry, but really don't like talking about it. I'm sure you understand.' Thats all you have to say. If they persist, they're asking for a ruder response.

You could probably just say, "He died several years ago." That way people won't know it was an accident, and they might not be curious to ask. If they do ask, though, you can simply say what you do say, or just say, "I'd rather not talk about it."
