A mutual friend is getting married in August, another friend (we're both bridesmaids) wants to get her a diamond bracelet to wear on her day. I suggested asking the groom and the parents to make sure such a gift would be okay. Am I wrong?

Typically it is appropriate to buy the bride jewelry that has pearls or even a sterling silver dangle bracelet. Popular gifts from the bridesmaid to the bride are loungewear, lingerie, spa treatments, wedding figurines or something personalized. Diamonds are better left to the groom.

It shouldn't besides the fact that infinite brides supply their attendants rings to placed on on the marriage day as a recent. that's no longer a recent whether it relatively is meant to be worn for the bride's happiness. maximum folk won't have the skill to determine the jewellery except it relatively is flashy or perhaps then there is not any rule that asserts it would tournament. no longer all of us is soft interior the comparable rings varieties the two.

I agree with you... diamonds are the purview of the family and hubby-to-be on the wedding day. You guys should stick to items from her registry and pitch in for a more expensive item.

Personally, I think it is inappropriate for bridesmaids to ignore her list (what she actually WANTS) and get jewelry, which is a personal item that should begiven by the fam.

A wedding gift should be for both the bride and the groom.

Check with her mother to ensure it will match the dress and jewelry she's already picked out.

It's a very lovely gift. The bride is lucky to have friends like you!
