ha i've always sorta wondered that too...
but Emo is like a stereotype/type of music
hahah my boyfriend said "emo is slit-your-wrists music"
not that he's right by any means, haha, but that's sort of the type of music it is...
and an emo person dresses the type....hard to explain, but it's a sterotype like "punk" or "goth" or "ghetto"

in my view...i have by no skill heard of that note with English as my first language. it could be a slang-time period, as i visit work out human beings attempting to "mash" their became into the crowded subways and so on. some thing like "the different mashers and that i knew we in common words had thirty seconds to crowd into the subway earlier they close their doorways" or different. i assume a "masher" may be someone attempting to crowd up. even with the undeniable fact that the further common note "masher" is a kitchen utensil used for mashing :D quite potatoes. it really is hardly common utilization i imagine, sufficient that you'll bypass on with your on a daily basis life with out ever understanding the note as an adjective :3

I guess they were saying, "don't get all that emotional on me." That would be my guess, although, I have never heard that expression.

emotional...most of the time they're gothic-like & cut themselves.
& then there are ones like me & my best friend who are melodramatic & just THINK about killing either themselves or someone else.
really, it depends on who ur asking & who ur referring to.
