Often times the great conversationalists are incredible listeners. Most of the time people will talk very profusely if they know someone is truly interested in what they have to say. If someone can take a genuine interest in someone else and hear what their passion is, then usually, the great conversationalist won’t do much talking at all.

A great conversationalist is a person that talks about the listener's interest instead of their own.

For me, a great conversationalist is someone very attentive and listens well at the same time showing enthusiasm in every given topic. He/she must possess presence of mind and must be a good reader to share his knowledge and ideas. Likewise, performing patience in his approach of talking and deliverance of his ideas to the people or person he is dealing with.

Listening and really learning what the other person is trying to convey to you, and not trying to overshadow the person you are talking to.
Many people tend to want to be on the winning side, like Miss A: "I Just got myself a new Prada bag", Miss B: " You know WHAT??? I got that same model! And another two other bags to go with it!" After a few "i have more than you" statements the conversation usually turns stale :)

When they have good non-verbal skills like leaning forward, acting interested, nodding, etc. Also when they ask lots of questions. I've had to observe good conversationalists because I used to be so shy but I didn't want to be. :D

Sexy is a state of mind. People do different things to be considered sexy. Itellegence is a turn on. I would rather be with someone who has a brain rather than a sexy woman or man that hears birds chirping in their heads all day and cannot keep up with the economy and a funny joke. But if you can have both then that is good. But sexy is not limited to the physical that is called superficial.

Theoretically it's more about giving the other person the greatest number of chances to talk. Be a good listener, and also know how to steer the converstion to topics of interest to the other party (their family, their hobbies, whatever else is of interest to them.) If they seem to like talking about their kids, just keep asking questions or making remarks that encourage them to talk more andmore on the matter. Do make sure you say something of worth from time to time -- you don't want to seem like you don't know how to talk about anything yourself -- but it's said that is the big secret.
Me, I am too moody and nervous to have ever successfully tried it but I have looked into it myself and that is the usual consensus.
