Of course I do. It's just common courtesy.

I always say thank you. Every single time. It it rude to just leave people hanging. I am also real paranoid when it comes to bad manners. I was raised in a way to always say please, thank you, you're welcome, ask the person back how they are doing, etc. If I don't get it in return, then I am already turned off by you. Here are some examples that I just can't stand:
-When I ask someone how they are doing, and they don't ask back.
-When I tell someone I lost a friend or a family member (in the passing away sence), they don't show any grief whatsoever. Just a simple "I'm sorry to hear that" would do!
-After I get my receipt from the cashier and they don't say ANYTHING. I get mad, so I decide to be the better person and just say to them "You have a good day now" and walk away
-When you call technical support for help, and they're very rude to you. Yeah okay. It's THEIR job to HELP you and sound professional
-When I call someone and ask to speak to somebody and all they say is "She's not here right now" ***long pause**** Well gee! Is it that hard to say "Can I take a message?" or "You can probably reach them at sucha sucha time"
Okay I'm done venting. I'm sure i'm not alone in this though.

yeah, you should always say thank you even if you don't want to. It's really a pain in the *** because "bless you" pretty much has nothing to do with sneezing, you don't really care if anyone says it or not, and usually don't give a damn about thanking them. But say thank you to be polite.

It is customary to acknowledge the person in a show of appreciation. Whether you say thank you, thanks, I appreciate that...whatever, you are acknowledging the person has in essence wished you well. Besides,I don't know of a single person that couldn't use a blessing now and then!
It's just polite to acknowledge the person's blessing in some way or another.
Check out the site I've added below, it gives a lot of info about this ancient tradition/behavior. Kind of interesting actually!

I say a quick thanks...however, I don't "bless" people for sneezing, I think it's silly. It shouldn't even be acknowledged. Evil spirits are not leaving via our nasal passages!

of coarse you say thank you, when you sneeze you stop breathing for that split second, and that is why people bless you. so it would be the normal response to say thank you for blessing you

Depends on if I have another sneeze coming. My sneezes travel with the buddy system, but I try to say thank you.

well the whole reason why people started saying god bless you or bless you in the first place is because when you sneeze your heart stops just for a moment.....so just in-case if your heart stops and it doesn't start again and you die people used to Say "God Bless You" in-case your heart didn't start up again. so of course if some one was courteous enough to say bless you or god bless you....you should at least say thank you for thinking of me.....for god to bless me at the time of death.....

I sure do. And whenever i hear someone sneeze i respond with either a "God Bless You" or a "Bless You" (unless i'm in my Western Society class...he doesn't allow us to do so).
