I was studying for a final at 2:30 AM and could understand the words the words from my duplex neighbor's TV. I realize that the TV is on that wall, but dang.

I'm begining to wonder if this guy can put two and two together. He comes home from the bar at 2:00 every night and throws things around like a caveman (no relation to the insurance company). Every picture of him on Facebook and Myspace involves alcohol. I once had to call the cops to keep him from physically beating a woman.

I have just recieved a letter from my head of department, advising me of a disciplinary. Apparently three people have complained about the way I eat a banana. I've confronted who I think it is and they won't say anything.
I peel away the skin and take bites. That's all. Is this the wrong way to do it? Am I unintentionally alluding to some offensive sex-act? I just don't know.

my boyfriend is away on business most of the week, (hes about an hour away) but when he leaves monday morning, (we live togetther) I have this nasty habit of being a total slob and trashing the place. Im not having wild parties or anything like that, I am just really messy. Its not really funny but Im looking around now and it looks like a frat house, for some reason Im laughing. When he comes home on friday I make sure it looks nice again. Why do I do this and how can I stop it?

What do you think is the longest amount of time you should not reply to an email for, without making the other person think you are ignoring their requests. I am talking about a business email.

I know the polite thing to do is to go to the party I was invited to first and this was my intention, then the second person who invited me INSISTED that I come (btw, the first person is a friend and the second is family.) Would it be okay if I want to one party for a bit, left early and went late to the next party? I really don't know what to do. Both girls will be offended if I tell them I can't make it.

I mean, it's not like our job requires us to be competitive. It's just that she always has to one-up me, even about stupid stuff that doesn't even matter to me. Should I just keep ignoring her or say something. Urgh, she's so frustrating!!!

If someone says it's difficult to have an "intellectual" conversation with someone, is this a nice way of trying to tell them they're not very smart?

The market is flooded with business and psychology majors. People go for these degrees because they are cake degrees. If your going to spend all that money for college, why not go for a degree that not many people have, so you can get a job that pays a lot???

Tonight was our annual Holiday Office Party at work. We had a Yankee Swap which is where you pick a gift, unwrap it in front of everyone.. decide if you want to keep it, if you don't.. you trade with someone else. Well one of my co-workers was last and go the gag gift of the evening which was 2 boxes of condoms and a jar of vasaline. As I was going to leave, she asked me if I wanted them right in front of our CEO.

Would this bother any of you if your co-worker did this?

I go to community college, and I have a guy math tutor. Hes around my age(19/20/21), and hes super chill. Should I get him a small XMas present? Maybe like a $5 gift card dunkin doughnuts or something?! I dont want him to think I have a crush on him or anything (cuz i dont), but, more of like a way of saying "thanks for the math help" (because I needed it!!)

I have a coworker who is from Vietnam. He is an extremely fashion forward dude with the coolest personality. He always does things for me around the workplace and I want to get him a little gift of appreciation. I found the coolest sushi set, but I am feeling a little funny about it now. Wouldn't it be the same as someone giving me forks and saucers? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I don't know!! I don't want to offend my friend!

Wanted to see what you think I should do in this situation:

I met someone at a conference and through this person (P1) got connected to another person (P2). When P1 emailed us both to make the connection, P2 replied quite immediately with such enthusiasm to help, giving me the impression that she wants to help. I took a week to think of my reply and wrote to her. I followed up with another email but have not heard back. Wanted to see if I should:
1. write another email to P2
2. write to P1 to see if P2 is ok or if I offend her in any way (which I'm certain I didn't but who knows, people are strange sometimes)
3. forget the whole thing (even though it is a very good networking lead).

I appreciate your suggestion...thanks!
Willow

Would it be ok to leave them alone and pretend you never seen them before? Is that the ethical thing to do?

Suggestions?

Especially when they have small children?

I am an international student at the University of Kentucky, tomorrow I will get my final results in one of the subjects, & the professor that teaches that subject was verrry helpful to me throughout that semester, & he's simply the sweetest thing, so I want to give him a Seasonal Greetings card with a token from my country. Do you think it's ok or is it inappropriate? please give me a good advise because I respect him VERY much.

I have six teachers to send gift cards too. However, I don't know what to say. So, I would like a format which I can both address Mr. and Ms. and Mrs. for all my teachers. Thanks!

This is just the cats a s s of questions since it evokes such a string of answers, that I can't resist asking it myself.

The best argument of course is that if it is left up, they fall in. Well hell, I'd pay good money to see that. That falls under the category of "if you're stupid enough not to check, you get what you deserve".

The best answer is obviously that seat and lid go down after each use. For some reason this isn't exceptable. Something about not wanting to touch it at all, which means we have to each time.

Humm, seems fair to me! Yeah, right!
