when you have a picture of yourself with a friend is the proper grammer "my friend and me" or "my friend and I"? Please help me end my dispute with my friend.

It is "my friend and me". As the source below states, "If in doubt, take your friend out of the sentence."

it depends on how you use in in the sentence. for example, if you want it to be, "my friend and i" you can say "this is my friend and i" since the phrase is used as a predicate nominative. but you can say "my friend and me" when you say "this is a picture of my friend and me" because it becomes the object of the preposition "of".

They are both correct, depending on usage.
subject = I
object = me
My friend and I are in that picture.

my friend and i were walking along the beach.....etc etc.....me and my friend seems a bit more child like to say....so i would go with the first one and i do believe it is the correct way of saying it also.

It depends on the sentence.

"My friend and I are in this picture."
"This is a picture of my friend and me."

If there is a preposition in front of it it should be "me", if not then it's "I".

I think it should be me...You would never say "This is a picture of I."
