my boyfriend is away on business most of the week, (hes about an hour away) but when he leaves monday morning, (we live togetther) I have this nasty habit of being a total slob and trashing the place. Im not having wild parties or anything like that, I am just really messy. Its not really funny but Im looking around now and it looks like a frat house, for some reason Im laughing. When he comes home on friday I make sure it looks nice again. Why do I do this and how can I stop it?

I was just thinking... all the stuff that is laying around is usually the stuff that he cleans up after me

either you try to not look messy while he is there or his pimp hand is strong and he keeps you in check :P

I personally do exactly the same. Here is a proper excuse.
You are such a neat and tidy, loving girlfriend, that you keep the house perfect, just for that special someone. You need time to rest when you are alone.
I cry on Friday when it is time to clean because in the course of a week I have done nothing, zero, nada. I am a pig, slob, slacker, chinese food eating, talking on the phone, playing on the computer, trash collecting animal.
When he walks in, it smells like someone baked an apple pie. Everything simply sparkles.
It is a really flipping good thing my dogs can't talk.

I really don't know for sure but I think perhaps it's could be in our upbringing....whether we grew up in a tidy home or not. It sounds like your boyfriend likes things tidy if he's always picking up after you....but one day he might get tired of doing it.
I do know that today is friday so you better get busy.
