My boyfriend is drunk right now and he wants to go out to dinner at a restaurant, should we go even though he's drunk? He's gonna get mad if i dont go with him, what should i do? Last time we were out in public while he was drunk he tried to pull my hair and throw a dish at me all because i told him to not be so loud cause people were staring at us.

I have compiled a long amazon wishlist. I wanted to send it to my friends and family. I kinda thought it would be rude though, like saying "buy me something please". What do you think?

What would you think if your friend or reletive sent you a wishlist?

I was thinking about adding "Send me a wishlist too!" at the bottom of the message. Would that seem more polite?

i need to buy a gift for my blind aunt who i will be visiting in india. she does not know braille, nor does she listen to american music. so braille books and music CDs are out. i feel clothes are so generic of a gift. i've given her perfume in the past.

i would love to hear a great, special suggestion that would make her day! she is a very special person but had such bad luck because of her eyesight. she is married and has two daughters (one is in college and one in high school). she usually lives by herself at home while her husband is at work.

i'd appreciate your answers...please, no sarcasm here - this is a sensitive topic.

Are there any suggestions for people who ask questions they think they are an authority on, lecture people around them on the subject, but still have the facts wrong?

For me this question is so difficult! And I get it often, right next to “Are you shy”? To answer honestly would imply a lot more opening up than I’m willing to do… especially since I get these questions from people I’m just starting to know!

Do you:

1.Answer as quickly as you can, in order for your response to be on top?

2.Take the time to think about your answer, do the neccesarry research, formulated rought drafts, etc..

3. Or just write the first thing that pops into your head?

4. Or just give a quick one-liner in order to rack up the points?

lol, I'm interested to know

Do you think that the ruling of political correctness is all against the people who have set it up? Has it become a two headed viper.

My husband's Sister and her husband will be arriving soon, visiting from Ireland. I asked if they would like anything waiting for them after their flight, but of course they say no. I would like something to give them as a welcome present, preferably something refreshing that they can use right away. (Don't say a shower :) Any suggestions or even other creative Ideas are very welcome. **Other Info: They are in their 30's. Fairly relaxed. We are in Miami**

OK if it's not your first language I can understand, but most people use their regional yahoo domain e.g answers.yahoo.fr for France.

Some are just completely baffling with the actual question completely obfuscated by English so badly that a monkey and a typewriter could have made more sense.

Also, most are just posted in completely the wrong category. Programming and Design is a particularly bad offender. Asking opionions of how your website looks or why your computer doesn't have sound has absolutely nothing to do with programming.

If you are one of those people, I'd highly recommend:
dictionary.com http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/ google.com
I wonder how many 'Yahooers' have ended up on http://www.engrish.com/

I was at a stop light making a left. There was an oncoming car so I waited about three seconds. This guy starts laying on the horn behind me. I made my turn and this guy makes a point to get beside me (driving recklessly all the while) to yell that I'm an "@sshole!". I shrugged and rolled up my window, but what should I have actually done?

i just received a call from a supervisor from another department. she really pissed me off due to the fact that she already is in a high position but she doesn't have the least phone courtesy. i wasn't even finished talking yet when she hung up. bad thing i found out, she has been doing this already. i will be complaining to my direct supervisor because it is just PLAIN wrong! it's more disappointing to know that these people belong to the higher ups. i'm also at that level but i don't act like this. question, why are some people unaware of phone etiquettes or do they just disregard this because they are THE bosses?

I know a young woman (about 20 years old) who has been studying in the United States for the past two years and will be returning to her home in Paraguay soon. What would be a good farewell gift for her? (I'd like to give something that she'd find both useful and, if necessary, portable.)
