I'll bet that chick that laughed at Bill Gates when he asked her to the prom is kickin' herself in the @ss every single day.
You don't in so many words as the others have said. But you can just say, 'no thanks.' If he persists, just inform him that you're trying your best to be polite, and would really prefer it that he stopped bothering you. If it still persits, unleash your inner *****, don't worry, it's only just under the surface for you.
ps: Beauty fades, but stupid is forever. Have you seen 80's super model Kelly LeBrock lately? The one from the White Snake videos? She's a beast now, clockin in at 260lb.

Unhot guys are usually painfully aware they are unwanted.
If you are getting a lot of unhot guys hitting on you then you aren't as hot as you think you are. Which is pretty unhot in itself.

Is the "unhot guy" interesting in any other way? Is he funny or insightful? Or, do you have interests in common?
If not, end the conversation-- politely but quickly.
If so, talk to him. But, let him know he's not your type for anything more.

Don't worry. Just be yourself. Talk to them. They'll figure out quickly they don't want to be with you. For any length of time.
