and ask you to take it down, would you? or would you not care because you look nice in the pic?

i would take it down.
it's a nice thing to do if the other person is not happy with it.
however, if you really really like how you look in it, crop the picture, cut her/his face off and stick it up again! =)

I would definitely take it down, it's the only polite thing to do when someone else is in the photo. However, if the photo could be cropped to omit the other person, then I might consider that, as well. And the other person shouldn't be offended, because they asked not to be in the picture in the first place.

Take it down.
If you took a pic with someone and for some reason people could see your underwear, you would want them to take the pic down even though they had posted it because they believed it was the best picture they had ever taken in their life.

I hope I would care about the other person enough to respect their wish not to be in the picture. The polite thing to do is to remove the photo and put another one in. If you want that person in the photo, how about giving them the opportunity to recommend one?
