How would you react if someone farted in your presence? Should you be embarassed? Should you scold the person? Apologise for them? igore them? and what happens if you fart in their presence? what is the most appropiate way to say excuse me? If it smells really bad, and has no sound, should you do anything at all?

My husband and I moved into our new home in mid-May. We always planned on having a "Thank you Open House" after we got 'settled', to thank all those from our church who helped us with packing, painting, babysitting our kids, and moving.
Now it is almost November, and I have kept putting it off because I wanted to wait until I had everything in my home decorated and set up just perfectly. But I realize now, that this would take years. So I want to do the Open house NOW.
Am I already past the timeframe to do it in good taste?

I received many gifts during holidays and my birthday. Most of them are not suited to my taste. Is it ok to give it again as a gift to other people whom I think needs it more? I promise not to give it back to the giver....

A little more information. The niece is 43 years old. I am 57. She has a daughter that is 15. We do not live in the same state. I don't even know if she would agree. I just thought I would get some comments as to whether I should ask her or not.

It is really a pet hate of mine...spitting in the street. Why do people do it? If you have to then maybe you could do it discreetly in the curb, but only if you have to. But people, young and old, just walk along on the pavement and gob-at-will, it's so disgusting. I t makes me feel sick if I accidentely step in it. I think there should be 'spit wardens' who can issue on the spot fines for offenders. IF YOU DO IT...STOP NOW!

A Bouquets nicely wrapped or a Bouquets in a vase. I think a vase would be best what do you think? its for out anniversary I would be sending them to her work no idea when the would arrive and shes not so good at arrangments of flowers

here is a section. I like the ones at Next.co.uk i am looking for delivery and am spending £30 including delivery for tommorrow. we are going for a meal and have already been to Italy last week.
Look on there and add any links you thik she may like for delivery tomorrow though. Thanks

Do you think the rich and powerful should come down to the earth with a bump?Do you not think they should get paid as normal people do.I am sick and tired of seeing hard working people working day in day out when the rich and powerful can sit on there bottoms all day,they have the best of the best and they look there noses down at normal people.I think it is wrong when they flash there stuff around and there is so many poor people around.

but since he was hammered, drunk, he accused me of such. He then bumped into me hard and then the sh_t started. I explained, but he already started the fire in my head. No one mocks me in front of my girl. He apologizes in a weak way, but that boils me even more.

So I snap in his face and say "You want to do it now, lets go, OUTSIDE!! Then everyone jumps to break it up.

But I'm right in tellin his drunk jealous a_s not to f_ck with me!!

My girl friend has a friend that is in a very abusive relationship.This guy gets beaten up by his girl friend physicly as well as emotionaly. I dont even why hes with her. Shes ugly inside and out and a total *****. For example, once before leaving the country she broke up with him, then she called him just to say...

" I dont love you, I never want to see you ,and while im over here, im single"

My girl friend told me that he cried alot after hearing that and came close to comiting suicide. After all that crap, he waiter for her at the airport with open arms. I could not believe it! If it was up to me I would let the moron kill him self, but my girl friend wants me to help the idiot out.

I was thinking about opening his eyes to his pathetic life but that could break what little spirit he has and push him to kill him self.

What can I do to help this retard out?

Should I ask that the culprit fess up or just ignore it? It happens quite frequently (I live in NYC) and I never know if I should say something or not. I find it very rude.

I share an apartment with 3 other girls. We all only share the kitchen and living room; we have separate leases for the rooms.
One of the girls in the apartment is smoking and me and the other roommates smelled smoke at separate times and one saw her boyfriend smoking in the kitchen.
Anyway, I hate the fact that she is smoking, I signed up for a non-smoking apartment, as did the other two roommates. My boyfriend says that I should tell the main office right away so that she is forced to stop. But then I get paranoid because I don't trust her. She lied to us roommates' faces about the smoke. I don't trust her with my food being in the kitchen, she could be vengeful. So what should I do? We all told her to stop smoking and she denies it and keeps doing it. We don't have the right to enter her room either.
