let them look at you weirdly. they may just be trying to figure out if you belong to the Amish or the Mennonites or are a Goth.
Have you heard the phrase everything old is new again. If you like the look and feel of these older style clothes then by all means wear them with pride.

Be true to yourself. If it's a style you like, find a way to incorporate it into your existing wardrobe. Try not to dress in it from head to toe. Pick one item, and pair it with something a little more current, like Victorian jewelry with a poet's shirt, or Victorian shoes and jeans. See what works for you.

And if people give you looks, it's only because you are being original and people like to look at the unusual. Just hold yourself with confidence and the rest will fall into place.

I know how it is -- I like to wear a cape, and in the weeks before/after Halloween people always pull over in cars as I walk down the street and scream "Hey! Halloween isn't till next week you stupid *****!" and then drive off. If I had my way I would carry rocks in my purse to throw at these people, but since it's illegal and all I have to just ignore them.

If you want you could give me a personal fashion show, and I'll answer your question then.
