I am at work. I just answered the phone and it was one of the real estate agents that I work with. She asked me for the phone number of a loan proccessor that we work with, but she asked for the person by name and it was the wrong name. So I gave her the wrong number. So she callled back and asked for it again and I said "This is the number I have for Bob." and she said "Oh, I wanted the number for Tom." and I said "I am pretty sure you asked me for Bob's number." Then, I gave her the right number. And she got upset that I made that comment, said I had a bad attitude, that she hopes it improves, and pretty much hung up on me.

Don;t get me wrong, I love older people and I do respect them, all the time. But, half the time I find that people who I respect treat me like dirt and I don't think I deserve that. So what's up with that?

This is so embarrassing. I was on top of things before the wedding, I sent thank-yous for the shower gifts etc. However I didn't have a chance to send thank you's for the actual wedding gifts. It's horrible! (My wedding was in July 2004!). I used to be in public accounting, was auditing a global auto manufacturer etc. It was also when Sarbanes-Oxley started being a huge deal and pain in the a$$.... on top of that we were dealing with filing info etc. for my husband's immigration etc. (I'm a citizen of the US).....

Anyway! I know there are no real excuses for this... I tried to use beautiful Christmas cards made with my favorite picture from the wedding, with a thank-you inside (in Dec 2004) but I gave up since I knew that some guests had moved... etc. etc.! Obviously after the year end, we got even busier with work and it was just awful! However, I have a much better job now and my best friend said I should send Christmas cards (without the wedding pic). Ideas?

Theres this kid in our school, thinks that ever since he got a g/f that hes the best thing around. He gets defensive if u say hi to his g/f. In class he thinks its funny to screw around. In the locker rooms while showering he shows off his unit, and he brags about how much armpit hair he has (personally i think its discusting). While putting on deodorant after gym he shows off (i have no idea why b/c nobody really cares) and then lathers himself in axe. he thinks its cool to get all f's.

Its not so much im asking for help, but can anybody relate to this?

I used my debit card to get $10.00 cash back and the guy hands me a $20 instead. I saw it was a $20 and didn't say anything, I was thinking "Awesome". I start walking away from the store and then start walking back to the store to correct this mistake. The guy was really greatful for what I did and he shook my hand. I felt so great for doing what was right. The thing that bugs me though, Why did I hesitate to do what I know was right?

The situation:
I am currently renting a house with my friend and her boyfriend. Just over a month ago, the boyfriend's friend starts staying here because he was kicked out of HIS girlfriend's place for reasons unknown. He was supposed to be here for a couple nights, which stemmed into a couple weeks, which turned into just over a MONTH now. He eats our food, gets home extremely late and makes noise when I have to be up at 6am every day, and most annoying of all, he actually had the nerve to have a bunch of friends over that I didn't even know when my other roommates left for a weekend. We have not recieved ANY money from him.

My roommates don't seem to think it's as huge of a problem as I do, and are telling me that they don't want to "kick him on the curb". He has had more than enough time to find a new place. I don't feel like it's my place to be kicking him out since it's my roomie's friend - but this is getting to be a HUGE hassle.

I want him OUT. What can I do?

I went into a deli yesterday to get a sandwich and there was a sexy woman standing there behind the counter. "Can I help you," she asked. I started to order, I think too fast, because winked at me and said to me, "Go easy on me, you're my first time!" wtf?? The manager then came over and she said, "Yeah, she's new and you're her first one." I was a little flustered and I wasn't sure if I should continue with the double entendres, what would you have done?

I'm of the belief that if your home has more culture and religious practices in it, that teenagers will be too busy playing the piano, horseback riding, studying foreign languages, to even think about it, let alone want it. My daughter says I'm naive, and my 16 yr old g'daughter has a boyfriend who "lays" with her in her bedroom, right under my daughter's nose...and she says she HAS to allow it, or else they will find another way. I just don't believe this way has to be ... at all. What do you all think?
Am I being 'stuffy' and naive? Of course I wouldn't opinionize to her or them, but I just want to know what the more of society thinks, so I'm putting it up to the group here to tell me what society is about in 2006.

Why is circumcision still routinely performed on 90% of baby boys in America???? They claim that it reduces urine tract infections. In European countries, most boys arnt circumcised and they do not have a higher instance of UTI's than American boys do. Then they say it reduces your chances of getting an STD. Once again European men do not have a higher instance of STD's than American men do. Finally they claim it lowers your chances of getting penile cancer which it doesnt. It does however lower sensitivity by 50% and when the procedure goes wrong its catastrophic to the boy. Why cant women accept men's bodies the way they are. How would women like it if we started routinly removing womens clitoral hoods like they do in Africa.

I find this rather insulting. I have a commercial sized ice maker that would be able to fit in my hotel room. All I would need is for them to take the hinges off the door and for them to help me carry it up the stairs. I was planning on paying for five nights and I like making my own ice but the girl on the phone said no. I usually don't stay in motels but I need to go for job interviews out of state. I'm just so peeved.
