Someone at work has bad breath tonight and I got a full clip of tic tacs. Maybe if I take one for myself right in front of her and then offer, she won't take it personal.

only for someone else, like a spouse, pick part of it back up? Recently, I had some taxi passengers, where the first person to get out gave me a $20 on a $12 fare, and to keep the change. It's common for people to give me high tips, because of the extras in my taxi. He went inside the bar before the last one got out. This person said to give him $6 of the change.

This happens about once a month, though never with my regular customers, so I can't tell the host later what happened. What would you do under these circumstances?

Tonight my husband and I took our daughters out to eat. My seventeen month old kept turning around and smiling at a man who was making faces at her a few tables back. I more than once told her to turn around and eat, yet he kept making faces and she kept turning around. I know he could hear me telling her to sit still and eat- is it not proper ettiquette to quit making faces and distracting the child under such circumstances?

The big game was on and I had some relatives over but I had to make a pit stop in the bathroom. I was having major diarrhea so I know I was going to be in there a while. Luckily, I had a notebook computer that is able to receive tv broadcast through a Sony device which transmits tv to notebook through wireless capabilities. So as I am watching the game I realize it would be great to have a snack so I told my wife to make me a roast beef sandwich, some chips, and a soda and bring it to me in the bathroom. Well her sister was there and she thought that was inappropriate. I disagree, because I think a woman should take care of her man like that.

My husband says that it is proper to pass someone the salt and pepper together, even when they just ask for the salt, and that it's widely known, whereas I think that's a load of crap! I think if you ask for the salt, you want THE SALT. If I wanted the pepper, I would have asked for that too. Please, I'm reaching out! What do you think??

I mean really, for the most part I’m a very imperfect person but just because I don’t have premarital sex I’m labeled as a prude. I mean I lie, I swear, I’ve stolen, but just because I do this one good thing it’s prudish. Maybe I enjoy being a virgin. And it’s not like I’m even yelling at other people and forcing my views on them. They’re the ones who are judging me. I mean damn, I thought a prude was someone who was unreasonably uptight, you know, someone who yells at people for kissing in public or that lady who yells at people at the beach for wearing bikinis. But now our society’s standards have fallen so low that prude just means anyone who’s against anything at all. Now a prude means someone who can actually count his/her sexual partners, doesn’t drink while driving, or is just plain polite and nice to people. If we won’t raise society’s standards, at least show tolerance and respect for people that do have standards of any kind.

I have a 7 year old neighber who always wants to play with me. Everytime I go outside she's always there asking if I can play. I'm 18 years old and have better things to do than play with a brat (I have a job, school, friends and a lot to deal with at home). But when I say no, she follows me around until I go back inside or into my car. Recently it's gotten worse, now the kid has the nerve to knock on my door EVERY SINGLE DAY to ask if I can play with her. At first I would open the door and tell her I had work to do then she would go "OK" and leave but 10 minutes later come back and ask if I had finished my work and could I play so now I don't even open the door and she just knocks louder and yells "Open the door!" which is a pain in the *** because it's usually when I'm taking a nap in the afternoons (I don't get much sleep at night). She does this because her parents push her on me because they're to lazy to play with her themselves so I can't talk to them. What should I do?

Im a student in high school. There is this one teacher there that bothers me so much. He is so conceited and thinks he is God. I have never had him as a teacher.. But last year I was sitting in the library on my spare just minding my own business. I have a journal that is a schoolbook, so I was writing fairly personal things down. He came up behind me, grabbed it and started reading it out loud in front of everyone! I was SO mad.

Then on friday my friend was in his class. I was leaving in about 10 minutes and I needed to get our project information for a different class that is due on monday. I knocked on the door and asked if I could speak to Leah, and that it was really important. He wasn't in the middle of a lesson or anything so I wasn't inturrupting. He yelled "GO AWAY" and I just kept standing there not saying anything, and he got up and SLAMMED the door in my face.

Is there any way I can report him for this?

And by the way, we don't want your casino. It doesn't belong here. I hate you and your family. Please do this region a favor and die already, pig!

When my mom was 20 she took on the task of raising her best friend's son because her best friend wasn't stable enough to do so herself. My mom was a single "mother" to him for the first eight years of his life before she met my dad. My mom raised him from infancy. In his adulthood, he became reunited with his biological mother, who had come into money and is now very well off. He got married ten years ago and had his wedding in Hawaii- my mother was not financially able to attend, but his birth mother was. He cut all ties with my mother after that citing that she obviously didn't care about him because she didn't come to his wedding. A couple years ago my mother suffered a series of heart attacks and almost died. When my sister and I contacted our "brother" to let him know, he hung up on us. I hold a lot of resentment and bitterness toward him for what he did to my mother. She cries all the time about it and blames herself.. Should I write him a nasty letter, or take the high road?

I have a problem. It's probably not a big deal, but it bothers me.
I went to the drug store yesterday to have 2 prescriptions transferred. The young woman (a pharmacy tech) took my scripts and said she would give them to the pharmacist. I said I would come back in an hour. She said o.k.

When I came back, the tech was helping an elderly client. I sat in the waiting area so as not to overhear their conversation. When the tech was done, she waited on a customer at the drive-in and then another at the counter.

When the client at the counter left, I asked if my presciptions were ready. She said "Not yet," and proceeded to wait on another customer with me still standing there. I wanted to know when I should come back. But, she wouldn't even acknowledge that I was standing at the counter!

I went home and came back later for the prescriptions.

All I wanted to know was when I should come back. I didn't need for her to process my order right away.
