What do I do when I'm in a stuation where the person that I eat dinner with most of the time after they are finished eating from their own plate they use the same fork or spoon they put into their mouth and start eating food from main serving dish with it. Is this terribly bad or am I just being anal???

The main problem with the situation above is that it, like "double dipping", spreads germs. To get around it, make sure there is a separate serving fork that is touching nobody's mouth, and that people use it and not their eating forks.

Were your eating partners raised with wolves?

Words will not be effective against this kind of savagery.

Time for you to get in front of a mirror and work on your facial expressions of disgust, so it is clear to the offender how you feel, even you you don't say a word. Chances are they'll just look at you and say "What?" If that happens, they are beyond help.

I think it is not bad at all. If this is a matter of person preference I would say that if it bothers you explain the nature of your concern or simply make fun of the person and maybe they will stop. I will say life to too short to worry about such things. If it bothers you badly tell them you are going to smack their hands if they do that again. They will get the message

Just tell the person right out that this habit must stop. That's passing germs around. Kind of like double dipping the chip dip.
It's Gross

That's gross and impolite and not sanitary. Yuck. I'd lose my appetite really quickly if that happened.
