A little more information. The niece is 43 years old. I am 57. She has a daughter that is 15. We do not live in the same state. I don't even know if she would agree. I just thought I would get some comments as to whether I should ask her or not.

Depends on why you are asking her to move in?

I'm guessing you and your wife are split up? And you want her niece to move in with you? Since you say "no blood relation" it makes me think you want more than help with the rent.
Not proper at all.

No legal reason, but it could put a strain on family relations.
Your wife is her aunt, her moving in with you could affect this relationship or cause problems between your ex wife and her sister, and this could then cause problems between this woman and her mother....

I think for it to work, everyone needs to be happy about it, not just you and the woman

Is this for a romantic relationship? I don't think it is a good idea, it may put the niece in an awkward position with her aunt (your wife..or ex?) Too close for comfort...

What is your purpose of asking her to relocate to another state and live with you. That is really the information needed to make an informed comment. God bless

Premarital sex is never appropriate, regardless of the person's relationship to you. Is this what you are talking about?

Why are you asking her to move in? To help her out, or are you interested in her? What are your motives?
