Is it necessary to send a written thank you when staying at someone home, even after giving an oral thank you in person?

Isn't it also proper manner to send a written thank you for a gift from someone, even though they stayed at your home?

I say thankyou but I don't really know what to say in return without them thinking that I'm just saying it to be nice.

Don't get me wrong, I love the music. I just have sensitive ears, so concerts get a little loud sometimes. Is it ok for me to stick my fingers in my ears and still sing along or have fun?

So I am house/dogsitting for a friend of a friend for the next week and a half. I've been doing it for a couple of days now, and been sleeping there some nights when I'm working early the next day. I work full time and I can't be there 100% of my time (the woman I am sitting for knows this and gave me permission to sleep in the house) So the other day, her friend left me a huge note telling me I didn't give the dogs enough water. Then I saw her and she came up to me and went on how she spent all day at the house and the dogs were thirsty (this was the same day as the note) Then I came in (the dogs were alive and well) and I found that she made the bed, and washed the dishes in the sink...(all of 4 spoons I use to give the one dog her medicine and a bowl from breakfast) I know I'm doing a good job, I have been letting the dogs out at least every 7 hours if not more, watering plants, bringing the mail...etc. I'm 22 years old, I can handle two dogs...this lady is making me crazy!

I like taking random shots of people on the street, most of them are crappy, like just legs walking or the whole street. But sometimes I look and see people doing funny antics, or just simply being cute, and I crop and post it on my online album.

There have been many postings lately about the new sanitary belts that women are using again to hold their pads. I am a tampon user, but I talked to three friends of mine that recently started using them and here is what they told me.

I am not selling them - but thought I would try to help out this forum.

- Hold closer to the body than undies can.
- Never move around - fit firm and secure.
- Don't stick to your body and hurt.
- Don't stick to itself, since there is no sticky - it uses the little belt.
- Can wear with stylish new lacy and colored sanitary belts.
- The pads are really thin and have the extra bit that hooks into the belt.
- Can wear under pantyhose without undies if you wish.
- Great for overnight, daytime, sports, etc.

They are all in their 20's and say they would never go back to sticky pads again.
