I don't know but you have such a good point. I think it is disrespectful no matter what race/color you are. Sometimes I think black people treat eachother poorly. It hurts to see how far we have come only to see them treat eachother like that. I don't see it much in the older generations as I do in the younger generations.

A word has the power that the user gives it. if a word is used with affection, then it has a positive power.

Political correctness has given too many words too much negative power.

It's wrong for anybody to use a word in a derogatory way, whatever your race, creed or colour.

It does not bother me. My black friends never use it in a derogatory manner. Many black people do not say it and I do not say it. I think there are many other societal issues more important. More important than what people within their own race call each other.

I think it's just a matter of ignorance and lack of respect for themselves. I, for one, do not and have not ever used the word and don't allow it in my household. Bottom-line, it's an ugly word and no one should use it at all. That's my opinion.

Because blacks think they own the word. I got chased out of a predominately black person's job and one of the blacks who physically attacked me to chase me out said, "You have to understand this is an N job."
