For years I have struggled to seperate my work life from my home life. I have moved several times (small town) and have a silent phone number (which is unplugged most of the time). I work 11-12 hour days, 5 days per week. I have told my fellow workers not to come to my home for work matters loudly, many times. They just keep doing it. Today, Sunday at 6.30 am there was a yell at the door again! I'm at my wits end as to what to do. Help?

I don't like "lol". Somehow it seems fake.Almost like saying aloud during a conversation,"I am laughing now".

Let me just say, I definitely think its distasteful for someone to wear their pants sagging, but there are just as many "thugs" that wear business suits, shirt and ties, and we encounter them everyday.

If I say good morning or hello to him he blanks me - although we have had conversations in the past (always in the presence of others). However if someone else he knows talks to him while I am there he will talk to me but then turns his back on me and tries to stand between us while the conversation is going on.

What is best way to deal with this?

I know someone who is about to purchase clothing for a photo shoot, but can't afford to keep all the clothes. They are planning on returning all the clothes back to the store after the shoot. They don't have any appropriate clothes at home.

When I was in TN, GA, NC and SC earlier this year, people would say "hi" to me on the street, and nobody was rude, pushy, or offensive. It was a real culture shock.

Whenever I head up to northern states, I always encounter people who clearly are not well-mannered like their Southern counterparts. More culture shock.

What explains for the obvious differences in behavior?

My roommate kind of doesn't have the best habits & is sort of a tomboy & doesn't care if she farts whenever or wherever (makes no effort or excuse) and when she does dishes they are always just rinsed under water, never w/ sponge (so you get little pcs of food dried on them). She also refuses to shower until the smell gets so bad that she smells it herself (about 5 to 7 days).

I can't move or anything, she is the daughter of my mom's best friend & I really can't make a big deal about it cause it would offend them both. But this new things she has is she wants to "conserve paper" or the toilet so she won't flush toilet paper! So she carries poopy toilet tissue in her hand around the house after using the toilet (I guess so she doesn't stink up the bath trash she puts it in the main trash). BUT SOMETIMES SHE FORGETS and leave the poopy papers near the tub, or on the armoire dresser in the bathroom! Also sometimes there are little pcs of poop stuck there & I find them on the floor!

It's the people sitting behind me at the tables that are spreading across the aisle but I'm the one who's asked to move forward when some one wants to get by. I can't, it's a solid bar in front of me unlike the tables where the knees can go under. (Same height seats at the bar and tables) PS. They do it to anyone sitting at the bar, not just me.

Our neighbor says she has very sensitive ears, and my BF's music is too loud. Her daughter came to our door and got quite nasty with my BF. He really dosent play it that loud. He also does not want to use headphones all the time. We are not breaking local or association regulations, but I do not want more problems with neighbors than I have already had(dog problems with another neighbor) Moving is not an option.

I am considering getting a roommate, but I was concerned about how to fairly divide the cost of toilet paper.

How can I politely ask possible roommates how many squares of bathroom tissue they use so that I can calculate how much each of us should pay for this item? I know how many I use; so, I just need to find out how much he or she uses.

Nothing painful or dangerous, but something that will not do a cocky and arrogant person any good at all. His ego is his largest weakness.
